Heard Brian Wilson was activated today…don’t know yet who was sent down.
Van Slyke sent down.
More news about one of my least favorite ballplayers…
Lawsuit details Braun’s efforts to fight drug test

Hi Everybody,
I could be wrong but the Marlins have only 2 guys in tonight’s lineup that were in the last series. Hechawarria & Fernandez. This could be big if the Dodgers could win tonight. The sooner they win the better. Keep it going.
Two free passes and no runs. Boo.
Next time through the lineup we will get it done.
The way Fenandez is pitching it could be a tough climb.
He has thrown a lot of pitches….maybe he won’t be around much longer.
I see it’s an MLB TV freebie tonight! 😉
We got one back.
At least we scored.
I hope Dre is okay. Dildonnie may be having second thoughts now on activating Wilson & sending down Van Slyke. . .
He’s okay…but, the homeplate ump is a real stinkeroo!
I noticed his strike zone has a lot of variations too!
A lot of them aren’t even close to being strikes….their graphic shows it clearly.
What’s Juan been eating lately?
Another nice clutch hit by Uribe.
Oh well, we’re losing again.
Tough game so far tonight with a bunch of strikeouts. Puig is giving away too many at bats lately and what became of his power?
10 Dodgers have struck out so far
Too many swinging at the low & away stuff out of the zone.
I’m still hoping they will light up their bullpen, and get the lead. . .
Ryu had another good outing, he was just outpitched.
Sheeit!!!
That hurt. The bullpen has been so good we expect nothing but zeros.
I just said to myself, “I hope Stanton don’t hit a homerun and give them an insurance run,” BOOM
The wheels are coming off of the wagon now. . .
Goes to show you can’t even underestimate the cellar dweller teams this time of year. A very poor offensive show tonight after a poor defensive show yesterday.
G’night folks!
Well said VL!!!!
We had our shots… Not going to win to many games when your 2-5 hitters leave 11 LOB…. Puig, Hanley, Ethier, and Gonzales sucked tonight. They just failed…
I can’t take my eyes off that D’back game.
D’backs lose so the Dodgers will not lose any ground.
Road games late in the year against teams like the Marlins are always dangerous. I don’t think it is an issue of the better team taking the weaker team for granted but sometimes the weaker team just plays with no pressure and do enough to win. Championship caliber teams find a way to overcome this challenge and while the Dodgers may not win tonight, we will see if they can do enough to win the remaining games in this series.
Fernandez is a ROTY candidate, so give him some credit for being tough to hit against.
It’s OK folks the D’backs just lost.
What is going on…a two game losing streak. Another game to forget and get back to winning tomorrow.
I think Puig needs a day off to “watch.” Did he swing at any strikes the past two days? And his little dugout hissy fit didn’t help matters…
Yep Kahli, he does…. Maybe two… He better humble himself before the game does…
This a MUST win tonight for the Dodgers. The sooner they bounce back after these two loses the better. Can’t afford to go into a losing streak right after the historic run and can’t depend on the D’backs losing..
Interesting reading from an article by former player Gabe Kapler about PED use.

Those who wanted Puig to sit down today get their wish.
Let’s hope the results are positive.
He was also fined for arriving late today.
He really does need to take a day off and ponder.
I read that he was also fined for being late to the ballpark. However, Donnie hadn’t penciled him in the lineup today anyway.
Puig of no Puig a win will get everything back up to par.
The offense needs to string together some hits and get some runs. Uribe has been hot lately, hopefully he can drive in a few runs tonight.
Quick (Bad) start for the Marlins I hate to think what I’m thinking.
Are you thinking the Marlins have some extra motivation and are playing with more intensity than the Dodgers?
The Marlins have nothing to lose.
Really enjoying Uribe’s hot bat. Let’s go Dodgers.
Crap! First and third, no outs, then no runs scored.
Our timely hitting is on vacation . . . .
Capuano is settling in… let’s get him some runs!!!!
Don’t shoot the messenger, but Puig’s replacement has hit into two double plays already.
Woo-hoo…not pretty but we have 3 runs!
o.k. tHINGS ARE LOOKING BETTER.
4-1 good start.
Let’s hope Cappy can hold it there.
Cappy is still a crappy pitcher.
Definitely! They give him a nice 3 run lead, and he gives it right back!
This is a slugfest.
Hey Tru how Nelly doing? Is not the same without her here.
She’s doing great…..been very busy…but, she reads us everyday.
POOF!!
Nice going League!
Tough game, needless to say.
Hitting into so many double plays sure didn’t help either.
Like OBF said, this is a tough game. But Withrow did his job and the inning is thankfully over.
I hope this isn’t a taste of the rest of the season.
This is a game the Dodgers need to win, games 3/4 we have a good chance, but…..and just got out of that inning, whew! My how the press are on Puig now…..Lets go Dodgers!
The Dodgers have had a runner in scoring position in every inning so far, they’re something like 3 for 12.
Oh and Goldschmitt Grand slam for the Snakes
BAD NEWS: D’backs win.
PUIG a CLUTCH HR.
Good job by Belli & Paco…boy a few more runs for us would be wonderful.
Oh, There you are.
Anybody there?
An insurance run…yes…now close it out Kenley!
An insurance run,
GO K.J.
Apparenly Kenley doesn’t like the way the mound is.
I guess they interrupted the grounds keepers 4:20 break!
They couldn’t find them 😉
They were off burning a fat one!
lol
New win streak!
Woo-Hoo, win streak!!!! Maybe Puig is getting the message…
Go Dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feeling much better tonight..way to go guys!
🙂 The boys love you Tru!!
I love them too 😉
You Rock!!! 🙂
Thanks…you’re not so bad either!
WE WON
Shots around!
I had enough shots during the game 😉
The Dodgers found a way to win tonight. Something tells me this could be a bumpy ride to the end of the season.
This team is GIDP at a record pace lately. Leaving an awful lot of LOB too. Part of the ebb and flow of the season I suppose. Unless the wheels fall off the bus though I’m not too worried about Zona catching them. Kersh/Greinke/Ryu will ensure we don’t have any long losing streaks.
I hope so.
Hey my brother.. Doesn’t , matter when you are winnig;;;; However, in the playoffs, it will be a problem…
It was a problem in April and May…. I agree, with our pitching, we should not have a long losing streak….
This team is bound for the playoffs, barring a historic crash….
With our pitching, I think we can bring home the WS trophy…..
Puig is back in the lineup tonight. I’m looking for a multi-hit game from him, if only to make up for the fact that Uribe is not starting tonight.
Hi
Just hoping Greinke is sharp tonight. Need to keep on winning.
The offense has to start gelling again.
I agree.
Hard to gel when Donnie keeps taking people in and out of the line-up. Uribe is hot and has a good glove, so why sit him? Donnie will be the death of us in the playoffs.
Donnie is still Donnie!
….everyone is in love with him now that we’ve been winning but, I still think he is a liability.
September is going to be ST all over again for Kemp IF he returns at all. If they’re going to make a run at the WS they really do need him in the line-up or coming off the bench to mix and match OFers against tough pitching.
Nathan’s pumped up tonight.
Man that Stanton is really hot.
…at least it’s only 1 run.
The fish sure play fast and loose with the baseball.
Nice inning for the 3-1 lead.
GREAT PICK OFF
I think Zack should swing away, what pitcher has that BA? and if his pitching is on, need to move that runner up!
Nice insurance run knock in by JHJ.
It’s KJ time.
Very nice win!
WE WIN AGAIN!!!!!
Very good play by Dre to end it.
It sure was!
NICE!!
Too bad Broxton is trying his best to blow the Reds lead over the Dbags right now.
Chapman is coming in now.
That kid can sure throw hard, but he’s wild!
A two inning save is a lot to ask for.
It’s 8-7 now….not a great defensive inning for the Reds.
Dbags lose!
Whew! I was worried for a while 😉
GAME OVER WE’RE 8 1/2 UP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice game by Greinke tonight. We’re back on track with a two game winning streak.
These wins (and hopefully another on Thursday) against an east coast team playing with something to prove are huge. These would be called trap games in football. The team is showing some grit.
Hi
With Kershaw on the mound, things look pretty bright today. And that 8 1/2 game lead is just simply beautiful.
Clayton seemed wild and hittable.
Those first 2 innings have been a struggle for Kershaw, amazing they didn’t score.
Clayton’s pitches must’ve looked a lot better to the Marlins since they were more agressive but still no score.
Whoa!!! Puig just missed hitting one out of there.
RBI no. 8 for Clayton
WAYTOGO CC.
Kershaw helping himself with his own bat.
Much better inning for Kershaw.
Now that’s great two two out doubles Andre and A.J produce another run 4-0.
O.K. Skippy 5-0
Clayton settlling down.
Uribe being Uribe.
Kershaw being Kershaw – he is playoff ready.
Clayton’s cruising.
The Beard has arrived.
I, for one, am diappointed Kershaw didn’t finish the game and go for the complete game shutout.
Wilson looked good.
Very good Boys…have a safe trip home…..and, to make it even better…Dbacks lost!
Just looked up, IT’S 9 1/2 UP.
Great start for Wilson. He had good control, missing over the plate on just one pitch. If he can keep up that type of command the rest of the year, the bullpen will be really tough to beat.
13-7 for Kershaw.
Brian Wilson looks to be capable. Bullpen will be stacked for the playoffs:
Jansen
Paco
Beli
B Wilson
Withrow
JP Howell
League
Marmol (?) – substitute in Dominguez if he’s ready.
What can we say – we came, we saw, we fried the fish!
Woo-Hoo!
🙂 Win Streak!!!!!
Kershaw’s ERA now down to 1.72
Dodgers are now just 2 1/2 games behind MLB leading Braves.
Baring any unforeseen circumstances, I don’t see any reason to alter the pitching rotation. The Dodgers do not have to win every game and to overuse a starting pitcher right now makes no sense. Complete games do not help in the standings. With all the arms in the bullpen, it seems management also wants to relieve some of the pressure there as well.
I think this series in Florida showed quite a bit about the Dodgers. The team lost the last game of the previous series and the first game of this one. I am sure a lot of us were concerned the Dodgers’ fortunes may have changed. I know I was concerned. Puig was not hitting, the team was having trouble scoring runs and things just looked a bit shaky compared to how well the team had been playing. However, the pitching held up, the offense perked up enough and the defense held, taking 3 of 4 games and picking up two games in the standings.
So bring on the Red Sox and another huge series.
They continue to amaze…especially Kershaw and Greinke…can’t remember a Dodger duo this dominant since Koufax-Drysdale…well, maybe Tim Leary and Alejandro Pena…
Add Ryu and that’s a heckuva 1-2-3 rotation.
Vin is coming back next year for his 65th season as a Dodger broadcaster. God Bless Him!!
.
.
Simply the best!!
Better than ALL the rest!!! 🙂
Absolutely! I’m beside myself and now I can’t sleep . . .
That is awesome!
