  6. JhallWally says:

Well, I hope Honeybutt is listening. Orel is explaining what is wrong with Blowz… I wish he was our pitching coach or manager.

  11. enchantedbeaver says:

Its the power of the bloomers. 🙂

He’s going to muss them sooner or later though. And that’s a stain that just won’t come out in the wash.

  12. vl4eccjr says:

That short but very sweet little tribute to Vin was nice. 🙂

  13. trublu4ever says:

Finally…a 1 – 2 – 3 inning. The skid marks must have scared the hell out of him 😉

  14. trublu4ever says:

  18. JhallWally says:

Ka-Boom!!! You pretty much knew it was coming.

  19. trublu4ever says:

Shit! Because of Billz, I had to change my underwear!

  20. vl4eccjr says:

  36. oldbrooklynfan says:

I can’t believe we won the whole game.
    Oh That Van Slyke!!!!!

  37. lbirken says:

Another exciting win for the Dodgers tonight with the big hit coming on Van Slyke’s first major league homerun. How refreshing to see the Dodgers finally win a nationally televised game. And even more refreshing was listening to the national TV broadcasters talk positively about the Dodgers and the play on the field rather than the ownership nonsense from at least the past two seasons.

This is strange 11 times we played them this season.

  39. crash24now says:

That Scott Van Slyke home run was a thing of beauty. Brought us from the depths of despair back into the realization that – hey – we’ve got a four game winning streak without the services of one Matt Kemp!

  40. nedisajerk says:

Look like Timmy had one bad inning that cost him the game.

  41. nedisajerk says:

Here we go again bad news.

Man beaten by four others in Dodger Stadium parking lot

  42. trublu4ever says:

Clayton Kershaw was named NL player of the week….way to go Kersh!

  43. crash24now says:

Scott Van Slyke’s Reward for 3-run HR Yesterday

    Gwynn CF
    Herrera 3B
    Ethier RF
    Van Slyke 1B
    Sands LF
    De Jesus 2B
    Treanor C
    Sellers SS
    Capuano P

What is the MLB experience level of this infield????

  44. lbirken says:

This lineup (other than Treanor) should please everyone since most of you would rather see the “kids” than the PVL’s. I would much rather see complaints about the lineup because the Dodgers seem to win games when the lineup gets a lot of criticism.

Van Slyke a kid? He looks like a grizzled veteran and when asked about swinging on a 3-0 count, he replied without any hesitation, “Mattingly did not send me up there to walk”. When asked about being in a pressure situation, he had a quick answer for that as well. He conceded that it was the minor leagues but he has been in these sort of “pressure” situations before and he long ago learned how to handle himself. Some “kid”.

  45. messagebear says:

Not “complaining” now, but Sands, De Jesus, Treanor, and Sellers don’t belong in the major leagues. The jury is still out on Herrera. Never afraid to go out on the limb. Having said that, let’s watch the Dodgers beat the crap out of the D’Backs.

  46. lbirken says:

Bear, you are probably right but you do have to love the effort these guys show when they do get a chance to play.

  47. messagebear says:

I agree, birk. Making it to the big leagues is such a longshot anyway, it is so much fun especially to see guys with long odds making it. I give a big hand to everyone really trying for that brass ring.

  48. trublu4ever says:

Our pal Randy Wolf has given the gnats a 3 run lead in the 1st inning….thanks alot!
