I hope the boys are wearing their long johns tonight.
Somehow I don’t see a world championship team when your catchers are Drew Butera and Miguel Olivo.
Who goes when A.J. returns?
Mattingly, I hope.
That made me laugh, tru.
Olivo is a much better hitter than FedEx and has 10 years in the majors , 240BA and averages almost 15 HRs a year. That probably wasn’t the reason he was brought up because it was in his contract to do so or lose him to free agency but I think it was a good move.
They still had until June 1st to add him… We play the Marlins next and he knows them well. He has been hitting in AAA and clearly is the best bat of the three, Butera, Fed-Ex and himself. Defensively, I’m not sure… But with 10 years in the majors I don’t think he can be sent down without consent. Butera is out of options as well. The salary of the two is about the same, and I think guaranteed since they were picked up?
Crawford batting 9th…tells me all I need to know. But the funny part is Ethier at DH. How wonderful to have Crawford’s vast defensive tools in LF over Ethier’s?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!
That fact is guaranteed to bite us at least once tonight.

How is it that Gonzales has the reputation as being a good defensive first baseman? I’ve never been impressed by his work.
But the way he’s hitting any flaws at 1B can easly be overlooked.
How is it that I can get up to go take a leak and get a drink right after Greinke gets the last out, and before I can get back the Dodgers have already batted and are back on the field?
