I know this is a big series but, I’d rather celebrate the legacy of Mr. Robinson.
That being said…please, Lord, let us get a lot of runs tonight..tomorrow too…with Beck and Maholm, we need all the help we can get.
Kemp is on the bench tonight.
Gordon 2b
Crawford lf
Ramirez ss
Gonzalez 1b
Puig rf
Ethier cf
Uribe 3b
Federowicz c
Beckett p
Booo…but I’m not worried, Crawford will break down soon enough. Play Kemp, Donnie Genius.
And on Jackie Robinson Day, no less, one of Kemp’s heroes.
I think it’s Donnie’s way to load up on lefties when a right hander is throwing. Today, however, Matt should be in there!
Brian Wilson is back…Paco was optioned to AAA. Damn, that means we still have League!
I understand we need a mopup man.
That is very surprising. Can’t believe that’ll last too long. Dodgers need more than one situational lefty in the pen.
I know Jackie Robinson means a lot more but on this day, I’m always very proud to be a Dodger Fan.
Well…we got Juan 🙂
YES URIBE breaks the ice.
Lincecum must’ve been going on the pitch or he figured the ball would drop in.
Lincecum was hit well that inning but A-gon is too slow to score.
I almost want to say that A-Gon is a rally killer, but that’s going a bit too far.
That was a great job by Beckett.
Way to go, Beckett – got himself out of a big jam – bases loaded with Posey up.
I hope A-Gon doesn’t get a single.
Dang! Sloppy play by the Dodgers leads to a run by the Giants.
Hanley has a lot of trouble getting the ball out of his glove, for some reason.
Uribe gets us started. Now bring him home!
Looks like Machi didn’t want any part of Matt Kemp.
Whaddaya know Turner comes through.
Turner brings in Uribe!!!
Come on Hanley, a base hit brings in one more.
No such luck.
Howell and Perez get the job done in the seventh.
Hanley frightens me on defense. He seemed late covering second on that last play.
If WIlson isn’t going to pitch the eighth inning, why is he back off the DL?
Good going Perez.
Matt Kemp gets his first single of the year.
It’s Kenley time.
Dees ees eat. Com’on Kenley.
Tie score – we’re going to extras???
Let’s hope so. Sure don ‘t want to lose in the bottom of the 9th!
Kenley vs Pence
Smart move in walking Posey.
Well they didn’t kill us, we’re still alive.
For the moment . . . . Wright’s in and not doing so well.
Now there’s a gnat at every base – and that means, if we can keep the ball in the infield, there’s a potential out at every base. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Continuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Geez Loiuse ….what a tenth inning that was.
Big mo is with the Giants. Kemp can turn it around with a HR.
OK, I’ll take the double
Bad bunt by FedEx takes out of a good inning.
I really don’t want to go to the bottom of the inning tied up.
2:55AM here in Brooklyn.
I’m not sure how you do it, Joe.
Donnie throwing in the towel, aka pitching League.
Again, why is Wilson here?
First knock against League. Hit hard.
Freakin’ League.
Wilson is active. Why wasn’t he pitching? Why is Paco gone and League still here? Why am I asking us here all these questions? Donnie and Neddie – two nudnicks who need to go away, and the sooner the better.
He is much much worse than a freakin’ waste of space. Get him off the team now. Not tomorrow, but now. This morning.
Ler’s try again tomorrow.
I pin the blame on Jansen. He is supposed to be lights out, not throw pitches that are good enough to get hit hard.
I wonder if he is throwing too hard, and that causes his cutter to not break enough.
All he needed was one more strike. Unless Belt hit that double on a pitch outside the zone, Jansen had no business giving him anything to hit.
Tough loss….. Dildon got down to the bottom of the barrell… Unfortunately, that was League.
If Ethier, Federwhatever, and Crawford (1 for 14, 11 LOB) didn’t suck like a Dyson, we would have faired better…
Bottom line is however, our bullpen sucked….
The Dyson people should hire Ethier as their front man..
He sucks hard…. And, he keeps on sucking hard when he is full of himself and his stupid contract… And doesn’t show any sign of losing sucktion…
Same with Crawford and League…….
“I’m confident in Brandon. He’s one of our guys,” manager Don Mattingly said after the game (per the SportsNet LA broadcast). “He’s going to have to get some big outs for us, and we’re going to keep using him.”
It is one thing to be thought of as a moron. But, it is pure idiocy to open your mouth and remove all doubt… Nice job dildon…. We truely have an idiot for a manager….
I’ve said it before and I will belabor the point… We will not win a WS title with Nedcompoop and Dildon ….
M-O-R-O-N!!!!!!
Listened to the whole game…sure as hell didn’t watch it. Many, many goats. The obvious ones are League and Jansen, but the offense was horrible. Kemp was 2-2 with a walk and a stolen base—after being inserted late. Ethier and Crawford were a combined 1-10. I know it’s only one game of a billion and stats are nerdy, but benching Kemp on Jackie Robinson Day (after an off day) was criminal…same thing I said yesterday. Sometimes I just don’t get Donnie B. I also enjoyed Figgins’ 3-pitch K, caught looking, in extra innings. I know Ned says the roster you have in April will not be the same one in August, but come on….games in April count just as much, etc., etc., cliché, cliché. So a bench of Figgins, Butera, Turner, SVS and a bullpen with League (and no Paco) is not exactly championship caliber. Sorry, Ned, I don’t give you very high winter marks.
It was a tough nail biting game and the Dodger defense didn’t help at all .Especially Hanley. It’s getting tiresome watching him field ground balls and trying to find the handle and a grip on the ball before releasing it .IMO it really cost us this morning. Let’s hope he starts sharpening up tonight.
