Boy, do I hate Krud & Krap!

  2. crash24now says:

32and53: Great article on Hanley at the end of the prior post. That just goes to show that there is a huge amount of offense talent on this team, from Hanley to Puig to Kemp to Gonzalez to Crawford.

Donnie’s job now is to keep all of them healthy. That means some sort of outfield rotation. Right now, I’d have to say Puig starts 6-7 games a week and the others start 4-5 games a week. This will get interesting quickly.

  3. 32and53fan says:

Crash, thanks. Here it is again for this post:

Sports Illustrated article on Hanley from 3 years ago.

  4. Bring on the Giants,

  5. crash24now says:

What will be the lineup vs. Cain if Crawford is activated tonight?

    My guess:

    Crawford lf
    Puig rf
    Gonzalez 1b
    Ramirez ss
    Ethier cf
    Ellis 2b
    Ellis c
    Uribe 3b
    Ryu

  6. crash24now says:

Crawford is back. Scott Van Slyke going to Albuquerque.

  7. crash24now says:

Actual Lineup (Crawford on the bench tonight)

    M. Ellis 2B
    Puig RF
    Gonzalez 1B
    Ramirez SS
    Ethier LF
    Kemp CF
    A. Ellis C
    Uribe 3B
    Ryu P

    Hi

  9. oldbrooklynfan says:

The Giants are desperate for a win.

  10. crash24now says:

Kemp grimaced and grabbed his left shoulder on one of his swings. I’m worried about that shoulder.

  11. crash24now says:

    Nice hit, Jazz Hands!

  12. trublu4ever says:

Yay…Uribe drives in Hanley & Dre!

  13. oldbrooklynfan says:

A nice clutch hit by URIBE to give us the lead.

  14. oldbrooklynfan says:

Both pitchers don’t look too good at the moment. but may settle down.

  15. trublu4ever says:

I love seeing Puig fly 😉

  16. trublu4ever says:

    I See You….16 game streak!

  17. trublu4ever says:

Matt did hurt himself….Crawford on deck.

  18. It’s good to see Hanley and A.J. come through.

  19. WOW Juan Uribe has given us a nice cushion with that blow,

  20. Now let’s see how Ryu does.

  21. Thankfully Matt is in the dugout and not somewhere getting x-rays or an MRI.

  22. J U A N U R I B E!!!!

  23. trublu4ever says:

Wow…Uribe 7 rbis! All he needs is a single for the cycle 😉

  24. U R I B E’s night.

  25. vl4eccjr says:

    Holy crap!
What’s gotten into Uribe? Was it something he ate?

  26. After all this time, it feels good to cheer for Uribe. And he must feel good being able to contribute.

  27. That was a good outing for Ryu

  28. nedisajerk says:

I bet Ned it just waiting to resigned Uribe to another 3 yrs contract.

  29. crash24now says:

Uribe is just amazing tonight. All of this extra base action with men on base. Now that’s some hitting with RISP!

  30. Too bad, he struck out 😦

  31. lbirken says:

Not sure League could go 1-2-3 in an inning if you spotted him the first out.

  32. crash24now says:

    We win, Giants lose.

  33. At least he didn’t blow the lead.

  34. lbirken says:

Very satisfying to make the Giants look bad in front of their own fans.

  35. trublu4ever says:

    I will sleep well tonight.

  36. crash24now says:

Uribe tied a record for most RBI’s for a Dodger against the Giants – seven – tied with Babe Herman who did it on April 29, 1930, It was a wild 19-15 win for the Dodgers at the Polo Grounds. Jumbo Elliott came on in relief, giving up only 4 runs in 6 2/3 innings to get the win.

Jumbo Elliott? Perhaps his nickname came from his size. He was about as big as Puig – 6’3″, 235 lbs.

  37. 32and53fan says:

Nice to see Uribe getting some love here. All it takes is producing when its your turn.

  38. JhallWally says:

Woo-Hoo, win streak…. Nice job by Ryu… And of course, Uribe…..

My god, if you would have told me that Uribe would have more homers and rbi’s than Ethier at the break, I would have thought you were crazy… Nothing like playing for your next contract.

I’m sure Nedcompoop is salivating and ready to offer Uribe another ill advised contract.. Geez!!!!!

  39. oldbrooklynfan says:

If things go right we should have another hero tonight. Whomever it might be.

    • crash24now says:

Maybe Punto, maybe Fife, maybe Puig. Who knows? That’s why we watch the games.

All I know is I am happy that Crawford is back to take Kemp’s place. Too many outfielders is better than too few outfielders.

  40. crash24now says:

Puig is in the Final Vote for the All-Star Game! So is A-Gon.

  41. messagebear says:

Now why would Nolasco be better than giving Fife and Zach Lee the chance to close out the rest of this season? If we were negotiating to give up Capuano or Lilly for Nolasco, it would make some sense to me, but we’re going to part with another three of our prospects. Why not get Eovaldi back?

The whole thing is suspect to me because Ned is involved. Trust him to always screw up a trade.

    • crash24now says:

Nolasco = PVL. Fife is our #4 SP. We need a better #5 than Capuano. We don’t need Lilly any more. Nolasco gives up too many hits. Garza actually gets people out. Ned should be chasing Garza, and let Nolasco alone.

  42. crash24now says:

Gnats score first. That’s all right, Hanley’s coming to bat.

  43. crash24now says:

Damn! Mattingly finally did something right! Score reverts back to 0-0. Gnats batted out of order.

  44. ZonaDodger says:

According to CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman, the Dodgers are close to acquiring Ricky Nolasco from the Marlins for Steven Ames, Josh Wall and Angel Sanchez.
There is also international signing money being exchanged in the deal, and the Dodgers are reportedly going to cover the remainder of Nolasco’s salary. With the barrage of injuries that the Dodgers have suffered this season in their starting rotation, Nolasco brings a nice sense of stability and reliability. The 30-year-old right-hander has a solid 3.85 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 90/25 K/BB ratio in 112 1/3 innings this season.

    • trublu4ever says:

he can’t be any worse than Cappy or Lilly.

      • JhallWally says:

LOL!! You would have to be almost dead to be worse than that pair…. I’m pretty cool with this deal..
We thought the Trayvon Robinson deal was bad at first, but, it is turning out to be a good call……….

        • trublu4ever says:

He says he is so happy too be with us. I like our chances from here….the sky’s the limit!

          • trublu4ever says:

….just so we don’t use League in a tight situation 😉

          • JhallWally says:

Yep Tru, I like the move….. And, you are right, League is a waste, I don’t want to see him anywhere near a close game…

            Another Nedcompoop blunder………

            I still want Ned gone………

  45. vl4eccjr says:

    FedEx delivers!

  46. 32and53fan says:

The Marlins get minor-league pitchers Steven Ames, Josh Wall and Angel Sanchez in the deal. The Dodgers will pay the remainder of Nolasco’s $11.5 million salary, and will also get an international signing slot valued at $197,000 from the Marlins.

  47. vl4eccjr says:

Romo comes in and is throwing his grease balls again.
With his noodle arm, he does what he has to do. . . .

  48. crash24now says:

0-4 with 4 strikeouts for Puig. No bueno.

  49. 32and53fan says:

    Muy mal esta noche.

  50. I listened to the game today while I went to a neigbor’s party. Checking in on the game from time to time. I even caught Steiner reporting the Nolasco trade.

  51. lbirken says:

The Giants have made Puig look bad yesterday and so far today. Not good.

  52. vl4eccjr says:

Does anyone know how many times you can vote on the final ballot?

  53. ZonaDodger says:

    Way to go AJ

  54. trublu4ever says:

    Yes, way to go Kenley!

  55. trublu4ever says:

    On to the desert!

  56. I’d rather have the dessert 🙂

  57. crash24now says:

Crawford is in an 0-11 funk after coming off the disabled list. That’s even worse than the poor production we were getting from Mark Ellis in the leadoff spot. Crawford needs to get it in gear. If he can, it’s going to be a kick-ass top of the lineup.

  58. JhallWally says:

Woo-Hoo, we win the series….. Kersh is special… Clutch hit by AJ..

    Please fire Nedcompoop!!!!!!!
