This is one bobble head I’d love. Sandy is my favorite.

  2. trublu4ever says:

Amazes me that Hanley (our hottest hitter) needs a night off …..WTF Donnie?!

  3. koufax1963 says:

I am still in afterglow with the sweep of the giants! I think donnie for the most part called it right. But the boys did their thing really well. I like punto at third, he made catches uribe never could. League was the sad part, but that is why I give kudos to donnie for pulling him, and same with kershaw, what a dandy he threw!!! And that bobblehead of Sandy Is Dandy, I want one!GO Dodgers! we go for 6 tonight!

  4. Hi
Looking for win #6 in a row,

  5. trublu4ever says:

    WOW….BATS are ALIVE!

  6. trublu4ever says:

Damn .. always have to give some back.

  7. Giving them runs back quickly again.

  8. trublu4ever says:

Got lucky…could have been much worse. Good job!

  9. I’m glad the Dodgers scored 3 runs within Pettibone’s first 25 pitches, as Scully says is when he usually struggles.

  10. Greinke’s pitching BP.

  11. vl4eccjr says:

Whew! That could have been much worse!
Greinke is pretty far from sharp tonight. . . .

  12. trublu4ever says:

  13. Utley puts an end to the small ball.

  14. Here comes that Puig guy ready to do some damage . . . .

  15. And he comes through!

  16. vl4eccjr says:

The first two sliders worked. The third didn’t!!
    WTG Puig!!

  17. vl4eccjr says:

Nice work from J.P. & Belly!
May we please have some insurance runs?

  18. vl4eccjr says:

    Thank you Matt!!

  19. trublu4ever says:

Matt….great job…you got us the insurance run!

  20. Great baserunning by Kemp,,,Watago A.J.
    Let’s go KENLEY.

  21. trublu4ever says:

    I LOVE L.A.!

  22. NOW…THAT….IS….6 in a row.

  23. vl4eccjr says:

It’s nice to get on a roll. .
Tough row to hoe tomorrow against Lee.

  24. enchantedbeaver says:

Nice to see them win a game when their starter is less than sharp.

  25. grizzy says:

The Cuban Kid is great, by all accounts he’s energized the team, and what is really good to see is the heart of the lineup producing. The players say this thing has turned around.

  26. crash24now says:

I laughed when Kemp referred to Puig as a kid. To me, they’re both kids.

“Puig, man, he’s an amazing kid”

With a 2-6 lineup of Puig/Gonzalez/Ramirez/Kemp/Ethier, this is an exciting offense. How did the winning streak get started? I’ll tell you. (1) Hanley came off the DL, took a few games to warm up, then started smoking the ball. (2) Kemp came off the DL and further energized the team. (3) Gonzalez, Puig, and Ethier were already doing the heavy lifting, but when you add Hanley and Kemp to that mix, it makes them unstoppable.

  27. It’s really great to be reminded what of a multiple game streak of any size can do.

  28. lbirken says:

It sure took awhile for “that Puig kid” to energize the team but having Hanley and Kemp in the lineup and producing helps.

  29. messagebear says:

Six wins in a row – WOW!

If we never lose another game I still want both of them GONE!

  30. crash24now says:

I’m liking this lineup, anytime I see this 2-6 going:

    M Ellis 2B
    Puig RF
    Gonzalez 1B
    Ramirez SS
    Kemp CF
    Ethier LF
    Hairston 3B
    Federowicz C
    Capuano P

  31. crash24now says:

Good-bye Luis Cruz, we liked you last year, but you plainly haven’t done anything for us this year. We’ll probably see you in Albuquerque.

  32. enchantedbeaver says:

    Its time for Dodger baseball!!

BTW, I see the Browns beat the Bears 19-10 today.

  33. trublu4ever says:

Uh, oh….wonder how many runs Cappy will give up this inning?!

  34. enchantedbeaver says:

Looks like we’re gonna be getting Cupaguano tonight.

  35. enchantedbeaver says:

Jeez, and there’s talk of Fife being the odd man out if/when Lilly gets back?

  36. Hi Everybody
Been watching on MLB.TV and when I do that I usually can’t do much more on my PC, so now MLB Extra Innings(Regular pay TV) has just picked up the game and I’m all set.
    But apparently the Dodgers aren’t.

  37. trublu4ever says:

I was hoping Lilly wouldn’t be back so soon…like Fife much better than either him or Cappy.

    • enchantedbeaver says:

Chris is like Billingsley. You don’t know if you’re going to get Happy or Crappy Cappy.

Tonight is strictly guano. At this rate I’ll be able to go watch TV in a few minutes.

  38. enchantedbeaver says:

Nothing like digging a hole for your teammates before they even bat.

  39. Well the Phillies spotted us 3 runs last night so it looks
like we returned the favor tonight.

  40. It looks like Cappy is being too generous.

  41. enchantedbeaver says:

Well it was fun while it lasted. Guess I’ll go watch TV.

  42. So the 6 game winning streak is already in jepardy 6-0.

  43. Cappy just didn’t have it tonight.

  44. It’s a big hill to climb tonight, to say the least.

  45. koufax1963 says:

    WTF! Name them! 3,4,5,6 hitless?

  46. crash24now says:

Phillies need a safety to get to 14-0 score.

  47. crash24now says:

Schumaker better go out to the bullpen and warm up.

  48. crash24now says:

Better send Uribe to the bullpen too. Schumaker’s gonna need some help.

  49. League will do for the moment.

  50. crash24now says:

    Shoe with a shutout inning!

  51. vl4eccjr says:

Does anyone think Cruz went & found a Bruja to put a hex on his former team? LOL

  52. One good thing about tonight’s game is that it only counts as 1 loss.

  53. I was supposed to be at last night’s game. For the first time in my life as a Dodger fan, I must say I’m glad I wasn’t there. And that is hard to say.

  54. lbirken says:

Glad I was not there as well as I probably would have stayed to the bitter end. I think players forget these type of games quickly so perhaps we should as well.

  55. grizzy says:

Right, oldbrooklyn. That’s what Alston said after a beating like that by the Reds.

  56. JhallWally says:

Thud… Oh well, the win streak was bound to come to an end…
Dildon needed a game to use Grrrear and League….. They sure lived up to our un-expectations…. Ole Neddy has sunk close to 40M in that inept pair……

Again, why is Nedcomshit still here…. He is an inept bafoon……

Good Grief, as Nelly would say….

    • enchantedbeaver says:

He’s Emmett Kelly and Bozo rolled into one horrible GM clown. Does any GM in any sport have as lousy a track record in judging talent?

  57. 32and53fan says:

    RIP Justin Miller

  58. trublu4ever says:

Moylan is gone…fireballer (103 mph) Jose Dominguez called up.

  59. Hi Folks
Let’s start another winning streak tonight.

  60. So Utley doesn’t waste any time.

  61. H A N L E Y a 3 run shot oh YES.

  62. Now let’s see if Ryu casn put a zero up there.

  63. Chase this guy outter here.

  64. trublu4ever says:

Well..that was disgusting….bases loaded no outs and zippo!!!

  65. enchantedbeaver says:

    Pucking Fathetic as usual.

  66. messagebear says:

Had him on the ropes – and let him slip away.

  67. crash24now says:

AJ failed with the double play and Uribe didn’t do any better.

  68. That kick by Puig was weird.

  69. C’mon Paco – let’s hold this (slim) lead!

  70. Not a good start, Beli . . . .

  71. enchantedbeaver says:

Donnie obviously has a learning impairment.

  72. Great job by the bullpen but Beli was shakey.

  73. Hey, who put ice water on the bats!!!?????

  74. Here we go,this is it.
    Nailbidding time.
A big win needless to say.

  75. That was hardly an auspicious beginning to the 9th inning.

  76. Can the team even spell “defense”? They sure don’t display it.

  77. Ramirez, Kemp and Ethier. LET’S GO.

  78. Hanley did his job.

Let’s go Dodgers – clap, clap – clap, clap, clap!!

  79. crash24now says:

Kemp struck out on ball 2.

  80. enchantedbeaver says:

Kemp’s not worth crap anymore. Too early to give up on him completely, but why not drop him down in the order until he starts swinging the stick?

  81. enchantedbeaver says:

Anybody but Ellis. Jeez let Punto have a chance.

  82. Sweet end to the game!

  83. YES…..WE ….WIN!!!!!!!!!!

  84. Only 5 games out! Yeah, I know that “championship” is not in the cards for this year’s team, but they do play some interesting and exciting ball now and then.

  85. crash24now says:

Hanley’s got the hot bat right now. Eight hits, including a double and two homers over his last four starts.

  86. 32and53fan says:

Unbelievable! I turned on the game with what I thought was two outs in the 9th and saw the fly out to Kemp. Life is good. But wait, it was only 1 out and the throw was off line and Ellis couldn’t handle it. Rats! Phillies tie it up…I figure the Dodgers will blow it again and leave. After eating dinner, I come back in time to hear the post game show and Kevin Kennedy announces that Dodgers had a walk off win!
    Wow…what an emotional roller coaster!

  87. grizzy says:

Win this one today and a very interesting road trip coming up.

  88. Matt Guerrier was DFA’d this morning and Withrow is back up. Looks like management is clearing out the dead wood. Now if only they’d get rid of Ned and Donnie . . . . ah, it’s good to dream 🙂

  89. crash24now says:

Kemp slides down to #6 in the lineup today.

  90. crash24now says:

It’s another good day to make a move in the standings. Puds lost 6-2 to the Marlins. D’Backs losing 6-2 to the Braves in the 7th.

  91. Hi Everybody
The Dodger record of 37-43 is one game better than it was in 2011 after 80 Games. No it’s not as good as last year, not yet.
    GO DODGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  92. What do ya call’em HAM-RAM

  93. crash24now says:

Puig turning on the after-burners with two stolen bases today.

  94. crash24now says:

Kemp with an RBI after Hanley steals a base.

  95. In the 4th the Dodgers were 4-7 w RISP.

  96. crash24now says:

Hairston joins the fun with an RBI.

  97. crash24now says:

Triple, double – gives us another run!

  98. grizzy says:

Can’t remember who it was on this blog that was saying the Dodgers should get younger, but they are finally taking the advice.

  99. enchantedbeaver says:

Just got in… how does one triple on a pop-up to the 2Bman?

  100. We hafta hold this lead.

  101. crash24now says:

    Debut of Dominguez coming up.

  102. Jose Dominguez looked pretty good there.

  103. Fife had an outstanding outting

  104. enchantedbeaver says:

I see the new kid hit 100+ 4 times in his inning.

  105. Nice going A.J. a 5 run lead.

  106. crash24now says:

Puig strikes out on ball 4. Boy, he really wanted to go for the cycle. He was definitely swinging for the fence, especially on the first pitch.

  107. The Dodgers are loooking good.

  108. vl4eccjr says:

    Four back.

  109. trublu4ever says:

I’m so glad we won… feels good seeing the team finally do well,,.keep it up boys, we now have to handle our own division.

    • JhallWally says:

      Woo-Hoo, win streak……. 🙂

Yep Tru, just take care of the Gnats, Snakes, Rox, and Puds…..

      Kudos to Fife… Nice job…

  110. I feel like we are entering a new era, the team that was mostly put together about a year ago is just starting to play like the experts were telling us they would. We’re in the race.
    Let the games begin.

  111. enchantedbeaver says:

A.J. Ellis on Puig: “It’s pretty special to be a part of. It just doesn’t seem like he’s slowing down. He’s definitely changed the culture in this clubhouse.”

Does anyone find it irritating that there wasn’t already a culture of hustling and winning in the clubhouse BEFORE Puig arrived? Donnie, I’m going to let you handle that question…

  112. trublu4ever says:

Nedcompoop is at it again….hearing we are close to signing Marmol…you’ve go to be kidding me!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • trublu4ever says:

      …. a trade no less!

    • crash24now says:

Ned likes him because the Cubs DFA’d him. I’d like to DFA Ned.

Why do we need Marmol? We already have a guy that can walk everybody, his name is Magill.

    • enchantedbeaver says:

Now calm down Tru, you know what will happen. Marmol will be lights out for 3 months this year, then Ned will give him a 3-year $27M contract afterwords of which he’ll turn back into League and Guerrier.

  113. kahliforni says:

Been out of the country for three weeks and boycotted all TV and newspapers. Even though our heroes are only four out, they’re still five games under .500 in a weak division, so I can’t get real excited about this team…especially with Donnie and Ned still in charge. But hey, lots of Californians got excited over fool’s gold 150 years ago. Nothing seems to have changed.

Now Puig, I can get excited about.

  114. Where the Dodgers were after 80 games,1/2 way&Ended since ’05.
    YR……W -L…… PL…..,,,.81G……………..Ended
    ’06……41-39 ……………..41-40..
    ’08……38-42 …..2nd…….38-43…………….1st
    ’11……36-44…T 4th………36-45……………3rd
    Blanks= did not keep record.

  115. JhallWally says:

I wonder what Nedcominconcapable will give up or Marmol…

Like Beav said, maybe he will have a great second half……And we will sign him to another ill advised 3 year deal…..

I think it is safe to say that the Lilly, Uribe, Grrrear signings have been a huge bust.. Something we all knew and stated 3 years ago… Coming off the Phew, Andruw Cow, and Schidt signings, why is this guy still employed????????????? I could go on with Nedcompoops bad signings, but you get the gist………

Please fire Ned…………… This is the last year of his contract, let him walk!!!!!!!

  116. Marmol pitched against the Mets on June 16th in a closing roll and blew the game to a walk-off homer. I was at that game.
I was thinking I’m glad he’s not a Dodger, so you can blame me.
Don’t we have enough in the bullpen?

  117. crash24now says:

Yasiel Puig hitting a baseball at Mile High Stadium is equivalent to a normal human being hitting a baseball on the moon. I wonder how far the ball will travel?

  118. messagebear says:

Marmol for Guerrier seems like a reasonable trade-off. They were both useless to their present teams, so I’m not looking for much out of Marmol and only hope that it doesn’t diminish somebody else’s chance with the Dodgers who’s more of a long term young prospect. As far as the money considerations from either side, I don’t really care. The Guggenheims have it up the wazzoo. In fact every time the Dodgers make any kind of trade, I expect them having to pay at least an extra couple of million compared to other trades in the league as what I would call the Guggenheim bonus (simply because the Guggenheims have more money) and the Stupid bonus – I think you all can imagine who the Stupid bonus is for.
