As Bear mentioned in previous thread….Ramona was DFAd….maybe things are finally headed in the right direction.

I’m sure you have all heard about suspensions…thoughts?

I think the Diamondbacks got the worst of it – rightly so.
Somebody also needs to tell Puig that these MLB brawls aren’t really meant for swinging at guys; they’re really more like the old professional wrestling matches, where you grab and hold, and may wrastle somebody on the ground for a while – in other worlds, just make a good show of it.

Damn….not a good start….already down two….would help if we could hit the freaking ball!

  5. Only two runs but a tough inning for Fife.

  6. trublu4ever says:

Crap…another promising inning down the toilet!

  7. Looking good again tonight. Good thing they’re all fired up from that Arizona series or we might really be in trouble.

Fife did well enough to win this game…but, once again, we forgot our bats.

      • Tru, I think any of the other 29 clubs could bring up their AA team and score more than this pathetic bunch does.

And yet, no firings, which says to me that the new owners are just blowing smoke up our collective hind ends with their we want to win now and in the future rhetoric. Any group that condones mediocrity day in and day out doesn’t care, and it shows from the front office to the dugout to the field.

Mid season or not, this team needs to clean house now. Only coach I’d keep is Lopes. The rest can go to hell. Wouldn’t be many players I’d keep either save for Puig, Kersh, Kenley, Greinke and Ryu. And I only keep Greinke because he at least has the balls to stick up for his teammates.

        • Pretty much said all you needed to know about this years team after Greinke got his collarbone broken. Instead of making that a rallying point, they tucked tail and went in the tank instead.

  8. Fantastic bunt by Punto.

It’s also interesting to me to look at the batting averages for teams like the Diamondbacks and now the Pirates. The player by player average is not impressive, certainly not any better than ours ON PAPER. However, they obviously get the job DONE. I certainly agree that we need to FIRE all the assholes in the organization, starting with Ned, and then Donnie and his staff. I’d make an exception with Lopes too. The rest of the worthless bastards just have been around too long and accomplished nothing.

    • And THAT’S it in a nutshell bear – this group has accomplished nothing, and haven’t for the past 3 1/2 years (save for being highly rewarded contractually for their mediocrity), so there’s no loss in totally breaking it up and starting over. I’d at least like to see a bunch of kids out there stinking it up, but knowing they’re leaving it all out on the field. Its been a rare game if any this season that I’ve felt this current bunch has done that. And let’s face it, the results of letting all the kids play isn’t going to be any worse than what the millionaire vets are doing.

I totally agree Bear and Beav…. I have no faith in our new ownership….. I’ve said it from day one, any team that would keep Nedcomshit has no credibility in my book…

  10. Oh well maybe tomorrow.

  11. trublu4ever says:

    Right now, we stink!

  12. Dodger4life says:

It is becoming ever so clear, that this group isn’t going to accomplish anything in 2013.

I would love nothing more than for them to dispel my thoughts, however!
