    Matt, cf
    Dre, rf
    Ellis, c
    Uribe, 3b
    Gordon, ss
    Cappy, p

Let’s hit Donnie right between the eyes!

  5. Dodger4life says:

I’ll tell ya what in tarnation is a goin on here…

I’m the roughest, toughest, mean ol’ hombre to ever jump a claim. I’ve ventured far and wide in my travels, be it by air, land or sea. I’ve been a pirate, a prospector and a gunslinger, to name but a few. North, south, east, and west, it seems no matter where destiny takes me, there he be, the thorn in my side!!!

No more gentleman’s stuff, from now on you fights my way … dirty!”

  6. trublu4ever says:

Cappy is scaring the hell out of me….thank goodness…a double play.

  7. Looks like things are starting off just the way they ended last night.
    Losing.

  8. Too early to bring it up about RISP 0-4

  9. trublu4ever says:

Well, a run for us…thanks, CC.

  10. Dodger4life says:

    Dagnabbit…Shanghai Sam was Shanghaid…

I see Crawford blasted one to smitherines…

  11. trublu4ever says:

    KABOOM!

  12. enchantedbeaver says:

Any booing yet Tru? If not there should be.

  13. Dodger4life says:

    Oooo … get me a a mouth piece … I wanna a hapus corpeas!”

  14. Dodger4life says:

Have faith y’all…we’re only 3 runs down from a successful game…

  15. messagebear says:

Well, I expect Crappy will be headed back on the DL. Why not just bring up Zach Lee and see if his No. 2 prospect rating has any merit.

  16. vl4eccjr says:

Did any one actually believe Crappyguano would get the job done?

  17. Ethier hit the ball well tonight but right at somebody.

  18. vl4eccjr says:

At least the Kings are showing signs of life tonight.
They just tied their series with the Blues 2-2.

  19. enchantedbeaver says:

Can we all finally agree that Guerra REALLY DOES suck?

  20. vl4eccjr says:

    Call the paramedics!
Bring in lots of crash carts & adrenaline needles!
There’s absofreakinglutely no signs of life on this club!!
    ;-(
    The downward spiral continues. . . .

  21. Welcome Dodgers to our finished basement, make yourselves at home but don’t stay too long.

  22. messagebear says:

    FIRE EVERYBODY!

  23. kahliforni says:

Couldn’t leave for work without congratulating Donnie and his crack staff on their most appropriate free fall into the NL West basement.

  24. Dodger4life says:

    “Whoa camel! Whoa!”

We are still 0 for the month of May
    .
It’s Becketts turn to try and save the day…

  25. Dodger4life says:

    “Sufferin’ Succotash!”

  26. crash24now says:

    What’s going on in here?

Five game losing streak, that’s what. Now that tonight is Beckett’s turn, let’s just make it six straight. Only Kershaw can stop the streak tomorrow.

Why do Ned and Donnie insist on carrying disabled players on the 25 man roster? Put them on the DL and bring up the replacements right away.

And get rid of this guy right now.

    http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/7603159/dodgers-injury-guru-stan-conte-wants-end-dl-espn-magazine

    • Dodger4life says:

Conte is like the mad scientist and Ned is like his Frankenstien
      Send these two yoyo’s packing!!!
      .
I still need to finish reading the article, but thanks for sharing crash…

  27. crash24now says:

Donnieboy: “I felt good about Cappy after the fourth inning. Sure, the DBacks were hitting the snot out of the ball in the first three innings. But Cappy settled down and struck out two in fourth inning. That was a great result. So I just couldn’t take him out until he gave up at least back-to-back taters. Cappy is on track and now he’s clearly our number four starter. I feel good about that.”

[Another non-quote from Donnieboy. But you know he could have said it.]

  28. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t have a good feeling about Beckett, tonight. I’m just hoping McCarthy’s 7.22 ERA will help the Dodgers.

  29. trublu4ever says:

Things just keep getting better and better….Hairston to DL now.

    • crash24now says:

At least this gets an inactive player off the bench (see Mark Ellis delayed DL move). Hoping that Ned & Donnieboy bring up somebody worthwhile.

  30. Dodger4life says:

I just read that Donnie wants someone who can play both corner outfield positions…That doesn’t sound like Van Slyke… sounds more like enchanteds fave, Rock Me Amazega…I hope they come to their senses and send Cruz packing as well…At best he can rekindle his swing in AAA…That would give us two more options…

Both Tolleson and Billingsley can be added to the 60 day DL…to make room, Puig would be a shocker if he was called up, and someone totaly off the radar who has been semi retired would not…

  31. kahliforni says:

Here’s an radical idea: bring up Y O U N G players who don’t break down every other week, give ’em a shot to show what they got. Athletics is, sadly, the domain of youth, “experience” be damned. I read where they might bring up an outfielder…but NOT Puig. Question: Why not?

  32. Let’s say they bring up FedEx, Castle (who’s on the 7 day DL himself), Puig, and Van Slyke. Who will Donnie play? – Uribe and Shu. The rest would sit on the bench and rust while the PVLs got the playing time. Then, after a couple weeks of 2-3 ABs per week and not producing, they get sent right back down to “learn how to be major leaguers.”

The disease is in upper [mis]management, and until that PVL mindset is changed or cut out, it’ll always be the same. It has been now for 7 years.

  33. Enchanted, Crash and Kahli – you should be running this club. You all hit the nail on the head.

  34. Gotta add Bear to the list, too.

  35. JhallWally says:

    PFFFFFFFFT~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wow, what a stinker.

This team stinks, from the top down…

Owners aren’t going anywhere, while waiting to cash in on the new TV money. So, fire Nedcompoop and Conte. At least divest yourselves of the Giant castoffs… Funny, they didn’t win a WS until they were gone. I’ve got no use for an ownership or management the includes Nedcompoop…..

Dildon should also be gone……. He sucks…. Nothing dynamic about him…..

  36. crash24now says:

Looks like it’s Elian Herrera – huh?? Just like Beav said, another PVL.

    • crash24now says:

Way to go, Dildon and Ned – pick the guy with the cold bat – hitting .250 at Albuquerque. Just what we needed – another Luis Cruz.

      • Makes a lot of sense doesn’t it Crash? Another punch and judy career minor leaguer, and like you said, with a cold bat.

Yup, he should help the club.

        Good choice fellas.

  37. crash24now says:

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, it did. Tonight’s lineup:

    Crawford LF
    Gordon SS
    Kemp CF
    Gonzalez 1B
    Ethier RF
    Hernandez C
    Schumaker 2B
    Punto 3B
    Beckett P

  38. Hernandez?!!

    Now we’re talkin’

    • messagebear says:

Obviously Donnie wants to get some power into the game.
After all I saw where Adrian has changed his batting stroke to a flatter swing, whereby he figures he’ll hit 8-10 less home runs in a season – but he’s more comfortable with that.

    • crash24now says:

Of course. If I was Ned, I’d much rather have the 37-year old Hernandez who is hitting .056 than the 25-year old FedEx who is hitting .535 in AAA.

      • enchantedbeaver says:

You know what pisses me off Crash? – the fact that Ellis really wore down that last month and a half last season and FedEx was supposed to be able to play more than Treanor and prevent that from happening again this year.

But with Uncle Neddy we can’t have that because a .056 hitting 37 year old with experience and that can’t play but once every 2 weeks is a better answer to him than is giving Fed Ex about a third of the starts and letting him gain some experience.

Same GD thing we’ve watched for the last 7 years with this moron.

  39. Dodger4life says:

I have to agree with spark, there has been some good conversation on this thread…

Donnie claims that they (???) have been in discussion about adding more power to the bench… he also hinted that another move may be coming.

I never understood the move to acquire Hernandez
I don’t understand the move to bring up Herrera (other than he was already on the 40 man)
I believe M.Ellis is available on Sunday, so is it possible Herrera will only see game time as a PH or PR???

  40. Well, Here we go again.

  41. The D-backs make it look so easy.

    • trublu4ever says:

      I know…have a feeling it’s going to be a long night.

    • enchantedbeaver says:

Difference between a disciplined focused ballclub and a team that runs around like a chicken with its head cut off.

  42. enchantedbeaver says:

How’d Hernendez ever get a hit in 19 ABs? Too bad he did or he’d be well on the way to Velez’s feat. Nothing I like better than an .053 “hitter” batting 6th. Even Punto would be a better choice than that. Donnie can’t even make out a freaking line-up.

And Buckett couldn’t pitch his way out of a wet paper bag.

  43. NICK PUNTO HR. WOW!!

  44. Punto! Looks like the bottom of the line-up is actually “helping” out a bit.

  45. trublu4ever says:

Whew…2 innings…no runs given up by Beckett!

  46. enchantedbeaver says:

Probably the ballgame. Our guys have already gotten their 2 runs for the night.

    • trublu4ever says:

I forgot…when Donnie gets fired….who did you want to be our manager?

      • enchantedbeaver says:

Would serve these lazy prima dona ballplayers right if they went out and got Guillen. In fact, I’d love to see that.

  47. trublu4ever says:

    More lousy news….Hanley out 4 – 6 weeks. Damn!

  48. enchantedbeaver says:

This team could make Charley McCarthy or Senator McCarthy look like Cy Young too.

  49. Da Bums are puttin up a good fight tonight………so far.

  50. I’m glad to see Ethier is finally in double figures in RBI

  51. enchantedbeaver says:

Sure glad management sees fit to let an experienced guy batting .048 play over a guy hitting over .500 in the minors with nothing left to prove at AAA. I’m beginning to think there was a reason Colorado DFA’d him… nah.

It also appears that Dre can’t hit righthanded pitching now either.

  52. crash24now says:

    Punto is the man tonight!

  53. enchantedbeaver says:

Is anyone REALLY surprised we didn’t get the guy home from third?

  54. crash24now says:

I’m just shocked…..that they walked Ethier in favor of Hernandez.

  55. enchantedbeaver says:

THAT fellow Dodger fans was some real professional baseball played by real professionals. Notice how Gonzalez pulled the ball to move Kemp over to third.

Wonder how many outs it would take to score a leadoff double on this team. 5? 6? 7?

  56. The Dodgers are looking for a way to lose,

  57. I think they found it…..

  58. trublu4ever says:

    They sure did!

  59. enchantedbeaver says:

    Shocking.

And just think – we’ve got him for another 2 3/4 seasons

  60. crash24now says:

League puts us out of our misery. Why even pretend that we have a chance?

  61. enchantedbeaver says:

I think OBF is onto something. The snakes are looking for ways to win, while our boys are looking for a way (or at least waiting) to lose.

  62. Another man in scoring position.

  63. crash24now says:

Uribe with the ever dangerous popup.

  64. crash24now says:

Gordon swings at three balls. It should be full count right now.

  65. crash24now says:

    Six straight losses.

    • enchantedbeaver says:

This team shouldn’t have two 6-game losing streaks in a season let alone by May 7.

But what the hell, its another feel good loss for Donnie to hang his hat on.

      • crash24now says:

Yet another non-quote by Donnieboy: “I feel better coming out of this game than I did going into it. Last night, we got plastered 9-2, and we just were not competitive at all. But tonight, Buckett kept us in the game all night, and Punto got some key hits. I am proud of our guys staying in the game.”

  66. kahliforni says:

“You are what your record says you are.” –Bill Parcells

  67. crash24now says:

An almost true quote by Donnieboy: “Yeah, well, League is a closer that has blown a couple saves. They seem to come in bunches. Whatever.”

  68. crash24now says:

Another almost true quote by Donnieboy: “Well, I could have pinch hit AJ Ellis for Hernandez, but it wasn’t the right situation. If I had FedEx on the bench, I would have left him on the bench too. Hernandez is a Proven Veteran Loser, and that’s why he’s here.”

  69. crash24now says:

At this point, I can’t even count on Kershaw to break the losing streak. Look for a 1-0 loss tomorrow.

  70. Are they really this bad? There is absolutely no chemisty at all.
It’s hard to fanthom that they are the second highest team in OBP.
They can set the table but can’t score the runs.

  71. grizzy says:

    Just gets better.

  72. ZonaDodger says:

    Pathetic

  73. Dodger4life says:

I say, pay attention to me when I’m talking to ya’ Donnie Boy!! You’re going about this thing all wrong, I say! All wrong!!
    .
0 for the month of May, continues…..

    Carry On Folk’s!!

  74. I can’t get over the difficulty this team has hitting with RISP. Is it mental? Are they trying too hard? Last night was a prime example of what has been troubling this team for quite some time now.
After Ethier came through in the first inning. Hernandez, Crawford, Gordon, Gonzalez, Hernandez again, Schumaker, Uribe, Crawford again and Gordon again all failed n that order. One hit in 10 tries.
How can this problem be solved?

    • crash24now says:

I think the hitting with RISP is merely a symptom of a much bigger problem.

First, let’s look at some of the guys who failed to hit with RISP. Hernandez (2 fails) is done and should no longer be in the MLB. Schumaker and Uribe are utility players and should be used as fillers and late inning defense. Gonzalez is hurt. Gordon is not yet ready, but he’s getting there.

Second, let’s realize that apart from Kemp and Ethier, the offense is built around guys who are past their prime and subject to lots of injuries (see MEllis, Gonzalez, Ramirez, Crawford). Third, let’s look to the farm and notice that it is depleted of talent at the ages of 22-25. Fourth, let’s notice that upper management fails to use the talent of 25 yr old FedEx.

The same can be said of the pitching. Yes, Kershaw is excellent and Greinke plus Ryu make for a formidable three man rotation. Kenley Jansen is very good. But beyond that, the pitching is in a heap of trouble.

My conclusion is two-fold: (1) McCourt (and Fox before him) robbed the team of its inherent strength – a great farm system that could supply young talent that is MLB ready. (2) The current upper management doesn’t know their heads from their asses. Stan Kasten is originally a basketball guy. He was never the GM of Atlanta Braves, just the president. Unfortunately, he does not recognize that Ned Colletti is an inept GM.

The team has begun to make investments in improving the farm system, such as beefing up the international recruiting. Note one young Yasiel Puig signing. But until Colletti is gone, I don’t see how the Dodgers are going to compete.

      • messagebear says:

Very good analysis by Crash here. What we might have had in decent prospects in the past few years, other than Kersh, Matt and Andre, went by the wayside in the type of yoyo treatment that Joe and Donnie give to anybody trying to come up to the major leagues – they only get an occasional at bat by being behind some outdated PVL’s with very little chance to stay and learn at the major league level for a whole season. The prospects may very well be so poor that nobody will rise to the major league level anyway, but I’d rather have a guy like FedEx trying than a Hernandez.

The malaise that I consider afflicting our team and the failure in RISP situations is that nobody really gives a damn. I don’t see any clubhouse leadership whereby a player gets on other players when they’re not giving their all in certain situations. I think that Kemp tried that position for a while, but he’s not really able to produce himself this season, so what position is he to lead others. I think we all agree that there is no one inspiring in the management or coaching ranks. We’re stuffed with established major leaguers who’re overpaid compared to the performance they give us, so they’re not exactly trying at a level as if it’s life or death in their every day performance. The Dodger Way? What’s that these days, when almost everybody among players and coaches, managers came from somewhere else?

      • Well put Crash and since you mention the pitching, I agree that aside from the three you mentioned and possibly, judging by last night’s performance, maybe Beckett is coming around, the rest have been hard to watch.
The bullpen is not what it use to be and that really hurts.
But I still think some clutch hitting from anyone (more than one) would make the situation a lot better and would help the team win.
You can give credit to the opposing pitching but this failure with RISP is happening too often to use as an excuse.
Also I’d like to add that I feel that a change in management is about to happen, soon.

  75. One of the other problems is that there is no established lineup. A guy bats 8th one night and 2nd the next. How can there be consistency when the expectations keep changing? It just looks like the fire and excitement have been extinguished and the team now reflects the “personality” of Donnie boy. I will give him kudos for one thing – unlike his predecessor, at least Donnie looks like he’s awake during the games. Unfortunately, the eyes are open, and the lights are on but nobody’s at home. He plainly does not understand how to manage a National League team, and that’s the truth of it.

  76. kahliforni says:

International/domestic player development was left to die on the vine by McCourt and it will take a few years to get water to the withered, dying plants. In the mean time, there is NO cavalry riding to the rescue. Farm is barren, due to reason stated above, and that leaves the Dodgers with their current roster and a few PVL fill-ins from AAA. Kasten has a BIG job to do and he knows it. Blowing out Donnie and Ned immediately would be a horrible PR move, given the avalanche of injuries that Ned’s and Donnie’s apologists will cling to the rest of the season. But in the 2+ years with Mattingly at the helm, the storied Los Angeles Dodgers are a whopping seven games over .500…and falling fast. Look for big changes in the fall, but with this roster, I doubt even Kasten thinks a real championship run can be made. But make no mistake, another manager would have this team fighting, clawing, and sacrificing themselves into a consistent winner. Ever since Greinke got whacked and the Dodgers limped home, to be swept by the Pods, this team has looked dead. I blame it on leadership.

  77. messagebear says:

I agree, of course, with the leadership aspect – or lack of it. However, you have to lay some blame on these supposedly professional players, all of them making more money than the president of the United States. What a sad state for the game of baseball when there’s no accountability for producing in accordance with what you earn. I’m getting very sick of this crop, and that includes Matt and Andre – very poor excuses. When can they be expected to really produce; in another couple of years when they’re getting past their peak? I think I enjoyed them much more a couple of years ago when they had to prove their worth being in the major leagues. I’m sure they show up and “work hard” as they say, but some of these guys have a mental problem whereby they now feel entitled. The fans ought to let them know otherwise. I’m of the “what have you done for me lately” school

  78. trublu4ever says:

Another day, another different lineup….I’m not posting it….just wanted you to know,

  79. Dodger4life says:

I sure hope this team can find the heart to win tonight with Kid K on the mound, at home, in front of their own fans, to keep from getting swept by a division rival, once again…Boy, do I hope they find the heart and unwavering desire to put a W on the board tonight!!

  80. Dodger4life says:

You can’t ask for a better formula when seeking a win, than having Kersh on the mound at home….It’s gonna take some help on offense though…gotta grind …to find.. a W!!

  81. trublu4ever says:

Sellers went bye-bye….FedEx coming home 😉

  82. Dodger4life says:

I just read that Carl Crawfords hamstring is acting up…

  83. trublu4ever says:

    Whew…we escaped the fist inning!

  84. I’ve been watching Gameday, I couldn’t connect to MLB.TV and had to wait for a game to end on Extra Innings. Those were two tough innings for Kersh.

  85. And to top it off I got the ZONA feed.

    • trublu4ever says:

Me too…they are showing hockey on the Dodger feed for me.

      • trublu4ever says:

I can’t stand Brenly…ex Giant who hates us! So freaking negative about everything…even our beautiful ballpark.

  86. trublu4ever says:

While I’m at it…I think mlb has to review their umpires. They really suck this year!

  87. Love those pick offs.

  88. There goes the no hitter.

  89. trublu4ever says:

    Yes…speed kills!

  90. trublu4ever says:

Oh, my, two runs in one inning!

  91. crash24now says:

Punto is hot. Keep him in the lineup.

  92. 2-5 w RISP. Like a more normal team.

  93. trublu4ever says:

Damn, Adrian left game…now we have Cruz at 3rd….Uribe at 1st…not too good.

  94. crash24now says:

    What happened to A-Gon??

  95. I think that was AJ’s ball that Adgon went after and dived at..
    That must’ve hurt him.

  96. crash24now says:

We need Scott Van Slyke here, STAT!

  97. Two runners picked off in the same game, that’s unusual.

  98. trublu4ever says:

    Too many errors tonight.

  99. Well that lead is gone.

  100. trublu4ever says:

I can’t take it any more….had to mute these two bozos!

  104. crash24now says:

Goldshit again (and again and again)

  105. JhallWally says:

    Crap!!!!

  106. vl4eccjr says:

I guess Goldshit likes to feast on Dodger pitching. . .

  107. Can’t stop that Goldschmidt.

  108. We got to find some way to outlaw Goldschmidt from playing at Dodger Stadium.

  109. trublu4ever says:

You’d think, with 3 homers against us already, Donnie would put him on…but, I forget…it’s idiot Mattingly!

  110. Right now the Dodgers can’t lose heart.

  111. Now that we knocked out Miley lets see what we can do with Ziegler.

  112. crash24now says:

Just need two runs. Let Kemp get on, then….. oh, wait. Damn.

  113. crash24now says:

    Schu gets us started!

  114. Com’on Ellis RISP.

  115. Now it’s up to Ethier.

  116. crash24now says:

AJ fails to move the runner. Try hitting to the right side next time!

  117. nedisajerk says:

Dang we drafted that guy Goldschmidt.

    http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/g/goldspa01.shtml

    • crash24now says:

We drafted him, but didn’t sign him. Who was the GM then? Why, it was Ned Colletti.

      • nedisajerk says:

To be honest I doubt Ned is in charge of that, The guy was drafted in the 49th round out of HS so we had no chance of signing him and who’s knew this guy was good in the 1st place?

  118. 2-7 Now Crawford.

  119. crash24now says:

    Seven game losing streak.

  120. trublu4ever says:

    Same old story.

  121. No Dice 2-8 tonight.

  122. vl4eccjr says:

PFFFFFFFFTT!!! ~ ~ ~ Another rancid putrid stinking air biscuit!!!

  123. We won’t lose tomorrow.

  124. JhallWally says:

    Good Grief!!!!!

  125. crash24now says:

At this point, I don’t even know if we can beat the 10-25 Marlins.

  126. Dodger4life says:

“For-I say fortunately I always carry a spare set of feathers”

0 for the month of May, uninspired we continue to play…

  127. Dodger4life says:

The only thing missing from this team right now is Jay Gibbons…

“These boy’s are more mixed up than a feather in a whirlwind”

  128. crash24now says:

When was the last time the Dodgers had such an abysmal start through the first 33 games? 1992 – we were 13-20 and finished the year with 99 losses. Last place in the NL West (back when there were six teams in the West). Eric Karros led the team with 20 homers. Despite a 3.67 ERA, Orel Hershiser’s record was 10-15.

  129. I’ve lost all hope of the Dodgers making the post season and the only hope I have left is the hope that I’m wrong, as usual.

Greinke is coming back soon, which should give the pitching staff a big boost. Hanley will return at some point and hopefully Gordon does well enough to keep playing short, so he can contribute on offense. Barring any untimely or serious injuries to Kemp and/or Ethier, they both should have some better days ahead of them. Crawford and Agon’s current injuries don’t appear, at least on the surface to be too agonizing…So I think there is reason to have a shred of hope…This doesn’t mean I think everything that has been said up above in all of the previous post, aren’t valid or won’t become a problem. I just think that this mess can still be turned around, however, we do face some tough opponents the rest of this month and as of today we haven’t given any indication that we are up for the challenge…

Management needs to stop waiting for change and do what they can to help positive change come about…Like it was mentioned about the running game and instituting some smart, small ball…I’m just saying it is clear that leaving RISP has been a big problem, maybe trying to manufactuire some runs in certain situations can generate some momentum and help win ballgames. Someone needs to shore up the bullpen as well, this is by my estimates the weakest link, considering everyone but Elbert is healthy…

I haven’t given up (well maybe on winning 100 regular season games I have), but we just have to win enough to make the post season. Where I have heard it said “Anything can happen…”!!

Day after f*****g day the players talk about “stepping up” and how they are “not getting it done”…………………………. Well, no shit. Besides being hitless wonders, they are analytical genius’. High time to shut up and drive in some runs. Those two dingers last night should not have been enough to lose the game.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m getting nervous about Kershaw’s contract status. He will be a free agent for the 2015 season. Why would he want to stay with a losing team?

We need to rebuild around youth. Kershaw should be the foundation on which we rebuild.

Stan Kasten says they don’t need to make major changes to personnel or management. He says everything will all work out.

That’s like the Captain of the Titanic saying, uh, we hit a little iceberg, but it’s okay, it’ll all work out.

Kasten is looking as clueless as Ned and Donnie.

Athletes don’t want to be crappy, but in baseball, sometimes a manager can take pressure off a hitter by FORCING him to swing at a pitch…you know, hit and run, sacrifice, suicide squeeze…forcing a hitter to swing may remedy the problem of taking too many pitches, or over-guessing certain pitches, be it location or type of pitch…but Donnie Baseball sits on his hands, day after day, like a guy with a cool toy who won’t play with it. What has Donnie got to lose by pressuring defenses with constant players in motion? He’s losing his shirt, anyway. I laughed the other night when Kirk Gibson had Eric Chavez steal second base on the first pitch and succeed…and this a 35-year-old guy with a history of back problems. The Dodgers look dead because their manager plays an non-gambling game of snore ball.

Can someone fill me in as to why, when this team has had an abundance of trouble with runners in scoring position and get’s a runner on 2nd base to lead off the 9th, such as we did with Schu last night, behind by a single run, sacrificing him to third was a bad option…especially with Dre coming up, who should be able to hit a deep fly ball at the very least??

I still think the bullpen is the weakest link on the field, other than Elbert, who has been missing from the start, everyone is healthy.
