1. trublu4ever says:

I know it’s only a two game winning streak but………who knows?!

  2. It’s a start. And a walk-off win, too – which is always welcome. I just don’t like the taste of my fingernails is all 🙂

  3. lbirken says:

Each game is big now no matter the opponent. I agree, the Dodgers can’t worry about what the Giants are doing as the only thing that matters now is to win games. The Wild Card is certainly not the goal but within reach.

  4. trublu4ever says:

Hope everybody is having an enjoyable Labor Day. I hope our boys will take the Padres seriously. Taking the field today to continue the streak:
    Mark, 2b
    Shane, lf
    Adrian, 1b
    Matt, cf
    Hanley, ss
    Andre, rf
    Luis, 3b
    A.J., c
    Big Joe, p

    GO DODGERS!!!!

  5. DodgerZona says:

Carlos Quentin was scratched from Monday’s lineup with right knee irritation…At least we won’t have to face him

  6. DodgerZona says:

    D’Backs 7-4 in the 6th

  7. Hi Everybody
I watched the Met game from about 6th inning on, they put up a good fight against the Cards but lost on a fluke play in the ninth, with Andres Torres missing first on a seemingly two base hit and the Cards won the appeal BUT it didn’t show on the replay.Too bad, the Dodgers now trail the Cards by a game.
I’m watching the Giant game at the moment.

  8. DodgerZona says:

Damn Putz get these Gnats out

  9. DodgerZona says:

    Nice going Putz

  10. Well the Cards and Giants leave the Dodgers with their work cut out.

  11. grizzy says:

    That didn’t take long.

  12. This team doesn’t stand a very good chance of anything when you have to start Blanton every 5 games. This guy sucks as bad as any starter we’ve had in the Ned era, and that includes Lurch and Bombko.

  13. koufax1963 says:

donnie just doesn’t get it, Still!. Victorino is a good bunter, move the runner up,…. beer time!

  14. Nice going Blanton pulling out of that jam.

  15. Andrew Werner is raring back and throwing strikes he’s practically unhittable at the moment.

  16. DodgerZona says:

Man they wait till the later innings to score….We take way to many pitches to

  17. koufax1963 says:

so now blanton bunts, wow is donnie getting it?

  18. trublu4ever says:

    I SEE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

  19. Hanley is starting to remind me of Manny.

  20. koufax1963 says:

Yep both kemp and hanley swung at the first pitch

  21. koufax1963 says:

um blanton has 109 pitches, but AJ calls the meeting, they break, then Donnie comes in and changes pitchers, what is up with that?

  22. Not good, Choate hurt.

  23. koufax1963 says:

this inning was suppose to easy, first out ,then pitchers hits his first, and its becoming disasterious

  24. koufax1963 says:

and now we have to score vs their bullpen, not good

  25. nedisajerk says:

That’s weird the pitcher get a hit with 1 out and get in scoring position with 2 outs and now get PR with another SP.

  26. This is another tough game.

  27. Another miracle finish?

  28. trublu4ever says:

    EVERYDAY DRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  29. It seems like the Dodgers are hanging on to a thread.

  30. nedisajerk says:

I’m so glad Street is on the DL.

  31. We can’t stop these guys from stealing.

  32. nedisajerk says:

    Geez christ.

  33. koufax1963 says:

Cruz impresses me every game! why is uribe here, oh sept callups.
Now lets win this in the 10th

  34. Nice two innings from League.

  35. trublu4ever says:

  37. trublu4ever says:

    A.J. comes through!

  38. vl4eccjr says:

    A.J. delivers!!

    • 32and53fan says:

      Much better than 5 1/2 and 1 1/2.

Hanley’s HR pace with the Dodgers would come out to 42 if he played a full season with the team.

  40. trublu4ever says:

Kenley is lost to us for the season. I just want him healthy once again. That’s what is most important.

  41. koufax1963 says:

Hmmm im thinking donnie has some flex in his starting pitchers for the gnats series (yea I know I’m getting ahead of the immediate game), the predicted roll of pitching would have beckett, cappy and blanton pitching FRI, SAT & SUN, but with days off this TH and the following MON, kershaw wouldn’t pitch til TUES , a week off, he could pitch this SUN vs the gnats on a regular fifth day, and give a break in rotation to Cappy. I like what I saw of Blanton last night, and Cappy seems to of struggled, although lack of run support would make any pitcher seem as if they are struggling, look no further than kershaw’s last start.

  42. kahliforni says:

LA Times says Mattingley tweaked the rotation already to assure Kershaw and Beckett (and probably Capuano) against Gnats. Blanton has been pushed back.

  43. Hi Guys & Gals
I like to a game were the Dodgers draw first blood and stay in front. Something they can do with Kershaw on the mound.
Blanton had a very good quality start last night.
It always interesting to see Eric Stults on the mound, he was a favorite of mind when he was with the Dodgers.

  44. I wish dem damned Mets can get something going against the Cardinals, tonight.

  45. Good to see Shane sacrificing. whoops. damn.

  46. Looks like the Dodgers were getting agressive there.

  47. koufax1963 says:

well my comment above about starting pitching for the gnats series, I amend, perhaps kershaw needs the rest, nah kidding, with ellis getting picked this game just sucks after one inning.

  48. trublu4ever says:

  49. A N D R E’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #17.

  50. Kershaw isn’t looking too good at the moment.

  51. vl4eccjr says:

Stults’ 20 plus mph range on his pitches is keeping the guys out of sync!

  52. trublu4ever says:

    Cruuuuuzzz! Bring him home!

  53. nedisajerk says:

I don’t like AJ swing at the 1st pitch when he take alot of pitches.

  54. trublu4ever says:

    Good job Kersh! Now….LET’S SCORE!

  55. Lets go Adgon, Kemp & Ram.

  56. DodgerZona says:

  57. That made us 1 for 8 with RISP, tonight..

  58. nedisajerk says:

These 1st pitch swinging and I can’t believe Kemp and Hanley wasn’t trying to steal but it surely doesn’t help when Hanley swinging at the 1st pitch.

  59. Both pitchers did well tonight. Kersh wasn’t overpowering, but he still did what he had to. Just wish the hitters would PLEASE do their job!

  60. DodgerZona says:

nice bunt AK…Let’s get AJ in

  61. DodgerZona says:

Whew that was barely fair…..Come on runs boys

  62. trublu4ever says:

    Way to go Shane!

  63. DodgerZona says:

    bout time Shane…Nice fake to

  64. vl4eccjr says:

  65. The Flying Hawaiian comes through!!!!!!!!!.

  66. DodgerZona says:

    Glad he got into 2nd

  67. vl4eccjr says:

I’m sure glad Kersh is in line for a win!

  68. trublu4ever says:

    Way to go Adrian!

  69. vl4eccjr says:

Friggin Dbags couldn’t hold the lead!

  70. trublu4ever says:

    Noooooooooo…not GrrrRear!

  71. vl4eccjr says:

    Grrrear gave him a cookie!

  72. nellyjune says:

I am stuck watching this damn gnat game. Damn d-backs can’t hold a lead once again.
Then again, the Dodgers just lost their lead.

  73. Another short lead, gone.

  74. trublu4ever says:

To me, this proves, Donnie has no managerial skills!

  75. vl4eccjr says:

Caught a break on that call. . .

  76. Come on, Let’s go- Ram, Dre and Cruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuz.

  77. kahliforni says:

I’m not a big Donnie Baseball fan, but the Dodgers’ bullpen and bench is woefully lacking and has been all season. Ned’s dumpster diving coming home to roost.

  78. Man, these games are really rough.

  79. nellyjune says:

Sitting here watching the gnats game, and my hubby says, “We sure have been lucky lately.” No shit! The game yesterday was bad enough, but tonight it’s even worse.

  80. We’re still alive folks.

  81. trublu4ever says:

Cool…Ely…..should have had Belli & Ely or vise-versa and no GrrRear!

  82. Adrian, Matt & Hanley*****

  83. That last pitch to Hanley was nasty!

  84. vl4eccjr says:

  85. trublu4ever says:

  86. Any more miracles left?

  87. koufax1963 says:

I can hear the rally drums beating at the phone booth. Im disappointed, this game was for the dodgers to win, two men cut down at 3rd, when they were already at 3rd, just pathetic. This dodgers club has no heart, no motivation and no offense, and tonight unable to run the bases well, yes victorino got lucky. and Mattingly should have pulled gurrear after the hit, with his lack of innings pitched, he blew kershaw apparent Win. Anything less than the dodgers sweeping the gnats this weekend is “wait till next year”.

  88. nellyjune says:

    Thank you DBacks!!!

  89. vl4eccjr says:

    Dbags held on.

  90. trublu4ever says:

    There is a God!
