A Giant Series

The Dodgers entered San Francisco three games behind the Giants.  By Sunday evening, they could be tied for first, six games behind, or somewhere in between.

The addition of Hanley Ramirez gives the Dodgers a nice boost to their offense.  Hopefully Ned Colletti will be able to take his new budget and add a few more pieces before the Tuesday deadline without giving up any top prospects.  Apparently Allen Webster is so highly regarded that the Dodgers turned down an offer to trade him for Dempster.  It is possible, though a longshot, that they will try to expand the deal to include Soriano, Lehair and/or Garza.  It should be interesting to see how this plays out.  Knowing Colletti’s history, he will probably come up with someone who is not even on any sportswriter’s radar.

Dodgers lineup:
Hairston LF
Ellis 2B
Kemp CF
Ethier RF
Ramirez 3B
Loney 1B
Cruz SS
Ellis C
Fife P

The video is from 2009. Most of the guys shown are no longer on the Dodgers.

No need for apologies. I really appreciate your contributions and look forward to them. I really should have left a comment on the old post notifying about a new one. Jon Weisman usually puts the comment NPUT (new post up top) whenever he puts a new post on his blog.

I predict our bats will come alive at the Phone Booth and, we will, give Fife a victory…..GO DODGERS!

Just like old times with a big series against the Giants. Let’s hope for better results than the last time these two teams met.

Does anyone else play the disabled list game better then Ned?
