    Kennedy & Uribe……what a dynamic duo 😉

    Godspeed Brooklyn.

  3. 32and53fan says:

    Good luck, Joe!

Thanks for the post Tru. I am really tired today and was just going to put up a minimal post if needed.

The Dodgers open up a three-game series on Tuesday night against the Oakland Athletics, the start of a nine-game road trip. The Dodgers haven’t played in Oakland since 2006, when they were swept by the A’s. The Dodgers are 2-9 all-time in interleague play in Oakland, with their last win coming on July 14, 2001, when a pair of bases loaded walks in the 15th inning gave the Dodgers a 5-3 win

Dang are Philles fans really voting for Howard without playing 1 single game? How the heck is Belt and Crawford in the top 5?

      • enchantedbeaver says:

That’s why the all-star game is a joke Shad and will be until only the players and coaches choose who’s deserving. Makes it even more of a joke that they play for WS home field advantage.

        • trublu4ever says:

I hate it too! It has been a joke for years.

          • 32and53fan says:

It’s funny that all of us old timers hate it. The youngsters seem to love being able to vote 25 times per email account and the P.R. guys are pushing the popularity contest. I have been saying for years to return it to the players and coaches, maybe adding the beat writers and broadcasters.

    Get well quick, Joe!

Thoughts and prayers are with ya’ oldbrooklyn…

  8. trublu4ever says:

It doesn’t seem like we ever have an easy inning.

  9. trublu4ever says:

What an ugly-ass ball park! Poor A’s have to play in that dump!

  10. trublu4ever says:

Aaron is certainly leaving the balls hanging!

  11. At least the Angels are stepping it up tonight to help us.

    • trublu4ever says:

True…but, we should be beaating these guys. I know it’s early but, come on, down 3 – 0 already!

  12. trublu4ever says:

Harang is straight-up when he throws, no bend at all….reminds me of Don Sutton.

  13. vl4eccjr says:

Looks like Harank showed up tonight. He’s stinking it up.

  14. trublu4ever says:

Way to go Adam…swing at the first pitch….nice way to give your pitcher some rest! What a waste of a roster spot!!!!

  15. trublu4ever says:

    Fourth inning….105 pitches…..8 walks…..nice game Harang!

  16. enchantedbeaver says:

Might be nice if they’d go out and actually get some ballplayers that can hit. I can’t hardly stand to even follow the games anymore. Ain’t a damn one of these guys worth a shit with the bat.

  17. vl4eccjr says:

So, the way this game is going so far, are we all Angels fans tonight by default?

    • trublu4ever says:

      9 – 3 bottom of 5th…Angels!

    • enchantedbeaver says:

Hell I don’t mind the Angels as long as they’re not playing our boys. At least they have a line up that can hit. I’ve no idea why half of the guys we start are even on a ML roster.

  18. enchantedbeaver says:

2 friggin hits. Well its 9:00. Must be something on TV.

  19. I checked out for a bit to watch the Heat and OKC. Good game!

  20. trublu4ever says:

    By the way….have I mentioned….Uribe sucks!

  21. trublu4ever says:

    Shit…even Loweenio made an error!

  22. trublu4ever says:

Damn, the gnats are making a comeback….only down 4.

  23. Well, it’s up to Loney now.

  24. vl4eccjr says:

    Pffffffffft!!! What a stinker!

  25. vl4eccjr says:

Angels are really spanking the Giants now 12-5 bottom 8th. 🙂

  26. trublu4ever says:

Love it….as soon as we lost, Krud & Krap couldn’t wait to post it….at the time they were still losing by 4….such idiots….like they were going to gain on us!

  27. enchantedbeaver says:

Its a miracle this team has won as many games as it has. It gets marginal power from Dre, and virtually nothing from anyone else.

  28. lbirken says:

Did I tell you lately how much I don’t like Interleague play? Perhaps if the Dodgers fared better I might like it more.

I also do not like the current fan voting system for the All Star Game and would like to see it go back to the players and coaches. And having the All Star Game decide home field advantage for the WS was never a good idea and is just a coverup for other bad ideas from the illustrious commish.

  29. kahliforni says:

Yep, the “stuntmen” are coming back to earth and the team Ned assembled is beginning to achieve its real level. Without Kemp, and with Andre struggling, this team needs both smoke AND mirrors to win right now. I’m thankful they’re in first and look forward to a great race as summer winds down. I’d be very surprised if Uribe is still the third baseman come August 1. Loney? I’m clueless about this guy.
