Let’s give poor Nate some early run support. GO DODGERS!

  2. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Hi Tru and Everybody.
I’d really like to see Eovaldi finally get a win this year, but of course the main thing is to win and the Dodgers have found so many ways to that lately. I hope they keep that up.
    Go Dodgers!!!

  3. I just hope they can get him a couple hits.

  4. Dodger4life says:

    I’m with enchanted…Come On, Boy’s… let’s get a couple of hits!!

  5. Dodger4life says:

    .
Good to see you as well, tru
    .
Kuna, Idaho and on occasions fishing, in the mountains.

      • Dodger4life says:

A bunch of trout…which gets used to go sturgeon fishing, on the Snake river…by the house.
        .
a red fox, trying to steal my breakfast, which was fresh trout prepared on a hubcap from an 81 Toyota…and one wiley game warden, right after my buddy didn’t take his pole out of the water, as he left to take a walk.

        • What a bummer. I’ve only ever run into two game wardens in all the years I’ve been fishing. One in CA and one in NM.

          • Dodger4life says:

I had a one day license at the time…He said you have two poles in the water. I corrected him and said “wrong, I didn’t bait or throw that pole out.” He asked who did…I gave my buddy up at that point…The game warden stayed there, (30min) until my buddy came back. It is a nice little res. up by Cascade Idaho, I drink beer and watch the eagles dive…which is pretty cool.

  6. trublu4ever says:

    Nate escaped!

  7. Dodger4life says:

I’ve been having reoccurring pc problems…using google and the library to diagnose and repair them. My clock needs to be reset every hour at the present time, in order to hook up with my server.

  8. trublu4ever says:

    SWEET……ANDRE!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Woo-hoo a hit and a run for Eovaldi!!

  10. Dodger4life says:

    Play Dre’ Play!!

  11. nellyjune says:

    Andre 🙂

  12. nellyjune says:

    Can’t defend those homeruns.

  13. Man I wish we had some good young hitters like the Angels.

  14. trublu4ever says:

    Crap…the gnats are aready winning 4 – 0 and it’s only the 2nd inning!

  15. Dodger4life says:

I just seen the highlights on Baseball Tonight…Eovaldi got tagged.

  16. oldbrooklynfan says:

I’m having a bad night. My TV has the game on a bad channel and after about a half hour I finally got up my MLB.TV on my computer, luckily I’ve been following the game on my note pad(a small lap top).
which I may have to go back to, if the big one goes down.

  17. nellyjune says:

    Way to go James!!!!

  18. trublu4ever says:

    Thank-you, James….nice DP!

  19. nellyjune says:

    Whew!!!

  20. trublu4ever says:

Wow….you watch…this will be the turning point of the game! We’ve got this one in the bag!

  21. vl4eccjr says:

Wow! I’m sure glad they got out of that jam!

  22. Here I thought the Dodgers were the only team capable of not scoring with the bases loaded and nobody out.

  23. nellyjune says:

People are reporting they think they felt an earthquake in So-Cal.

  24. oldbrooklynfan says:

We had an earthquake in New York about a year ago.

  25. Who does Nate have to kill to get some run support?

  26. trublu4ever says:

    Good call ump! Cheap trick!

  27. trublu4ever says:

    Yes….great defense…..RALLY TIME!

  28. oldbrooklynfan says:

To me. Mike Trout resembles Jerry Sands.

  29. nellyjune says:

Matt Cain is 3 outs from a perfect game!

  30. vl4eccjr says:

Cain did it. A perfect game.

  31. vl4eccjr says:

    CRAP!!!!

  32. trublu4ever says:

    Crapola!

  33. nellyjune says:

Perfect game by Matt Cain at AT&T Park.

  34. Nice of Donnie trying to kill Jansen’s arm using him up 3 days in a row again.

Can’t win when you can’t hit, and you can’t expect the pitchers to be perfect all the time waiting for them to get them their one run. Kemp better get back soon, Dee better go back to hitting 8th, and Loney just better go away.

  35. oldbrooklynfan says:

Congrats to Cain it’s the Giant win that stinks.

  36. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Ot ain’t over yet.

  37. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Maybe a wild pitch.

  38. vl4eccjr says:

    Sheeeit!

  39. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Close but no cigar.

  40. oldbrooklynfan says:

Just trying to see if I can paste a photo on this blog.

  41. koufax1963 says:

Teams come back after a no hitter thrown at them, Giants lose. 4Back

  42. nedisajerk says:

Happy 86th birthday to Dodger Legend Don Newcombe.

    • oldbrooklynfan says:

Happy Birthday Newk. When I was in LA in ’09 he was the most interesting person I spoke to. We were like too old friends.

  43. Happy retirement to Aaron Miles. He decided to hang ’em up.

    • Sure would’ve rather had Miles than Kennedy, but its interesting that Ned was still the only one to come a’callin when 29 other teams passed on Aaron after he had what I thought was a pretty solid season last year. I’m thinking that 29 other teams felt he was done, now Aaron knows he’s done, but there was Ned again with a contract in hand because he has no clue.

      • oldbrooklynfan says:

I’m surprised or more disappointed that Miles didn’t wait a little longer. Maybe a need for him would’ve arose.

  44. kahliforni says:

Time is very cruel…nothing hurts like not being able to play…the body just can’t answer the bell.

  45. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Hi Everybody
We got another game here to win.
    GO DODGERS!!!

  46. oldbrooklynfan says:

Maybe that will be it for the Whitesox.

  47. I find it disturbing that Clayton’s giving up so many home runs. He just hasn’t been himself . . . 😦

  48. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Hya doin’ Tru?

  49. oldbrooklynfan says:

    We got one back.

  50. 32and53fan says:

Kershaw (and any other Dodger pitcher) needs to be fined whenever he gives up a home run on a 0-2 count. Scully was so pissed off about it that he refused to elaborate about it. Old school teaches to NEVER throw a strike with that count.

  51. oldbrooklynfan says:

Looked like Kersh didn’t trust Dunn on 0-2. (lol)

  52. trublu4ever says:

    WTF, Kersh!

  53. oldbrooklynfan says:

Clayton didn’t look too good in those 3 innings.

  54. I’m thinking that his foot problem is a lot worse than they’re telling us.

  55. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Giants are winning.

  56. oldbrooklynfan says:

Andre hit that pitch real well but too close to Beckham.

  57. oldbrooklynfan says:

OK Uribe, Let’s keep it going, guys..

  58. trublu4ever says:

    Damn, Tony…that was sooooo high!

  59. trublu4ever says:

    Yes….way to go DeJesus!

  60. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Nice goin. IDJ.

  61. Yippeeee – we got a run! It’s a game again – we’re close. Now, let’s take advantage of it!!

  62. trublu4ever says:

Sheeit….what the hell was that, Dee?!

  63. Elian comes through again! I’m loving his play!

  64. trublu4ever says:

I really like Elian! He must play everyday!

  65. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Oh Boy!!! Harrera.we’re noted up.

  66. trublu4ever says:

    Way to go Rivera!

  67. oldbrooklynfan says:

Clayton is going for the win.

  68. vl4eccjr says:

    The offense awakens! 🙂

  69. C’mon Dre – they’re waiting for you to pick ’em up!!

  70. trublu4ever says:

Vinny…..Dodgers come up with a high five in the bottom of the 6th …..love him!

  71. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Nice going Coffey.

  72. The Three Tenors who sang the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America – wow! Great voices, wonderful harmonies. Raised goose bumps!!!

  73. vl4eccjr says:

    Sumbitch!

  74. trublu4ever says:

    Well, that blows!

  75. oldbrooklynfan says:

Looks like we have anothe ND for our starters. that # 23.

  76. oldbrooklynfan says:

    We need another big inning.

  77. Hooray for wild pitches!!

  78. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Thank You.

  79. lbirken says:

Sure seems there have been a lot more wild pitches than usual the past few seasons.

  80. All right Kenley! WTG!!! Winning streak . . . .

  81. crash24now says:

    Nice pitching by Mr. Jansen!

  82. trublu4ever says:

Awesome….who would have thought we’d pull this one out?!

  83. vl4eccjr says:

    That’ll work!
The Cardiac kids pull out another come from behind win!

  84. oldbrooklynfan says:

Kenley was brillient again and another incredible victory for our Dodgers….And with Giants right up their aXXXx

  85. lbirken says:

This Dodger team sure makes things interesting. Even Vinny seems surprised at how things are going.

  86. crash24now says:

That was a heckuva rally in the sixth inning. Elian Herrera with another double, giving him doubles from both sides of the plate tonight! This guy is a definite keeper. I don’t want to see Kennedy starting any more games.

  87. crash24now says:

The Oakland A’s have released Manny. Don’t anyone tell Ned. He’s been looking for a bat.

  88. nellyjune says:

Way to go Dodgers!!!! Love coming home thinking they had lost (hubby was saying they were losing at the time) and finding out they came back to win – yeah!!

  89. lbirken says:

Perhaps it is a bit early to even bring this up but Elian Herrera reminds me a bit about what happened in 1965 when Tommy Davis went down and the Dodgers brought up a career minor leaguer named Lou Johnson. Sweet Lou helped propel the Dodgers to the World Series. Could it happen again?

  90. messagebear says:

We’re evidently in contension for Dempster along with the Yankees.
Don’t know who’s being considered in the trade, but let’s say it’s Loney, Eovaldi and a third lesser prospect – would you do it? I’m assuming that he’s a rent-a-guy for only the rest of the season.

    • I wouldn’t give them Eovaldi. You know the Cubs know he (Dempster) ain’t going to stay in their loser organization after this season, so realistically Loney and a pitching prospect like Webster should be enough. If the Yankmes want to give them more, then let them. This team needs a bat a helluva lot more than it needs another old pitcher though.

    • crash24now says:

I would do that trade, except substitute Withrow or Martin for Eovaldi. We need Eovaldi to fill in for whomever is hurt, be it Lilly or Harang or … We don’t need Loney, so this trade would basically help us prepare for the playoffs. Is Dempster better than Harang or Lilly? Probably.

  91. lbirken says:

I don’t know a lot about Dempster other than he is 35 years old but I don’t think he is worth 3 players, two of which are currently on the 25 man roster. I can understand using Loney as trade bait but I would feel better if there were some hot shot prospect waiting for his spot.

  92. trublu4ever says:

I want Cole Hamels! He’s not close to a deal with Philly and, he’s hot! Would look great in Dodger Blue!

  93. crash24now says:

Matt Garza would be a better choice. He’s younger (28), still under team control through 2014, and consistently good (five years at WHIP of 1.25 or so). It might take a pretty good package to get him. I’d certainly be willing to do Loney, Webster, and another prospect for him.
