Why, oh why, does Donnie insist on batting Kennedy 5th?! Come to think of it, why the hell is he still on this team?!!!!!!!!

    • enchantedbeaver says:

Got to remember, Kennedy went 4 for 4 one day. That alone will keep him on the squad the rest of the season…

Because you never know when hell will freeze over again.

  2. Is Donnie expecting to win with this lineup or is he just tossing in the towel so early in the season??!!!

  3. nellyjune says:

AJ needs to be batting behind Andre. Other than Abreu, nobody else is a threat enough.

    • trublu4ever says:

He sure does! Just don’t understand why he is so low in the order…..I would even accept Dre 3rd & Abreu 4th ….and, then A.J.

  4. trublu4ever says:

How many runs will be scored today? I’ll say 13…..8 – 5 Dodgers.

  5. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Hi Everybody
Let’s hope we can get back into the win column. Them Giants are getting too close for comfort.

  6. enchantedbeaver says:

Nice reward for Castellanos going 2 for 3 with 2RBI also – benching.

Is it any wonder none of the kids called up ever get a real chance to get anything going by playing a few days in a row? (Other than Herrera that is, and that’s ONLY because he switch hits.)

    • trublu4ever says:

It sucks! Donnie wants his lefties in there against the righty….I wonder what happens if the pitcher only lasts an inning or two.

  7. trublu4ever says:

Great…now it’s windy as hell and starting to rain!

  8. trublu4ever says:

    Still love our Dre!

  9. nellyjune says:

    RBI #45 🙂

  10. enchantedbeaver says:

Hope there’s another pitcher out there as good as Harang that Ned’s had his eye on for years and can get us for next year’s rotation.

  11. oldbrooklynfan says:

I can’t believe that TGJ didn’t catch that.

  12. trublu4ever says:

Well, they got a run and we’re tied….lucky for us, that ball stayed in the park.

  13. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Nice going Aaron,

  14. trublu4ever says:

    Thank-you, Herrera!

    • trublu4ever says:

I like him…..don’t care if Uribe ever comes back.

      • enchantedbeaver says:

Other than “not-ready-for-prime-time” Gordon, Herrera’s the only kid that’s received consistant playing time. Might be nice if Donnie would play the others more than a game here and there to see what they can really do.

  15. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Harrera has 6 RBI already.

  16. kahliforni says:

“Already dealing with lingering tightness in his right Achilles tendon, Milwaukee Brewers star Ryan Braun left Friday night’s game after aggravating the injury and straining his right hip.”

Funny, all the Braun apologizers point to similar stats this year and last…but supplements are what allow players to rebound quicker from injury as well as fend off the general wear and tear of a long season.

Of course, now Kemp can’t stay healthy…..?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  17. trublu4ever says:

Boy, Lyon & Collins are yawn city!

  18. trublu4ever says:

    Elian….way to go kid!

  19. trublu4ever says:

    #46….I’ll take it!

  20. enchantedbeaver says:

Its nice to bat Adam Kennedy 5th because it gives the other team a chance to get out of the inning.

  21. oldbrooklynfan says:

Eric Collns still hasn’t learn to watch the outfielders.

  22. nellyjune says:

Would have been nice to see the Grand Slam, but a great at bat for Andre none the less. RBI #46

  23. trublu4ever says:

Uh. oh…..Harang may be running out of gas!

  24. oldbrooklynfan says:

  25. crash24now says:

Can Harang keep it together another one or two innings?

  26. trublu4ever says:

Some more runs here, would be very much appreciated.

  27. trublu4ever says:

  28. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Bobby Blasted it. # 1

  29. crash24now says:

    Nice one, Bobby!

  30. crash24now says:

    Nice double for ‘Dre!

  31. trublu4ever says:

….and, Dre with a double! Too bad he will stay there!

  32. crash24now says:

He did it! Must be a Blue Moon!

  33. vl4eccjr says:

That hit Kennedy just got means he aint going no where. . . .

  34. crash24now says:

Another lazy fly to LF for Loney. Wonder if he’s still getting fined for those?

  35. enchantedbeaver says:

See – I told ya! I’d have never guessed he was going to get a hit there.

  36. trublu4ever says:

Aaron “The Big Show” Harang gets it done…..nice inning!

  37. oldbrooklynfan says:

Nice quality for Harang…so far so good.

  38. trublu4ever says:

The rest of the game is going to be left to our BP…please, don’t blow this!

  39. trublu4ever says:

  40. oldbrooklynfan says:

    This doesn’t look good…..Com’on Guerrea.

  41. trublu4ever says:

Oh, dear, here we go again!

  42. Thank God for Loney’s glove!

  43. oldbrooklynfan says:

    OKAY. YES!!

  44. trublu4ever says:

    Good job, Beli!

  45. nedisajerk says:

What I miss a Abreu HR and an rbi single from Kennedy with 2 outs geez.

  46. trublu4ever says:

I was hoping for another run or two just to feel semi-safe. Let’s shut them down and get the win!

  47. vl4eccjr says:

    Woo Hoo!!! It’s about time!!
The losing streak finally comes to an end!
Rubber game tomorrow. . . Go Cubs!

  48. WOW!!! We won!!! This was a really nice surprise.

  49. oldbrooklynfan says:

    That’s 1 game in a row, folks.
    GO DODGERS!!!!!

  50. crash24now says:

    Feels like Christmas!

  51. nellyjune says:

    As Jhall says, “Win Streak!”
Great game by Aaron, which I thought would be a tough ballpark for him. He got himself out of jams nicely, and the bullpen and timely defense kept us in the game.
Now it’s time for the Kings to take game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

  52. crash24now says:

    Kings win in OT again!

  53. nellyjune says:

That game was awesome! Jonathan Quick is just extraordinary!!

    • lbirken says:

I am not much of a hockey fan but that was an exciting game. The Kings seem to be a team of destiny. Hopefully some of that will rub off on the Dodgers.

  54. nedisajerk says:

Richard Dawson the original host of Family Feud and was 1 of the last 2 surviving orginal cast members of Hogan’s Heroes who played Corporal Peter Newkirk died. Now Robert Clary who played Cpl. Louis LeBeau is the only member alive.

  55. oldbrooklynfan says:

    Hi everybody
I won’t make it on here for the whole game since I have to leave at 4:30PM ET (1:30PM PT) just hoping for another win.

  56. Sure is quiet here. I don’t really blame anyone for not watching much of this game. Collins and Psycho are amazingly boring.

  57. messagebear says:

I’m watching my grass grow today.

  58. vl4eccjr says:

    WTG A.J.!!!

  59. Finally Gordon bunts – and gets a hit. When will he learn that this is what he’s supposed to do? He may be speedy and run well, but he can’t do much good if he doesn’t get to first base . . . yeah, I’m preaching to the choir – sorry 😉

  60. trublu4ever says:

Good job, Beli! Now, let’s get some runs……rally time!

  61. trublu4ever says:

Way past feeling any love for Dee! Yet, Donnie insists on playing him every freaking day!

  62. Close but no cigar . . on to Philadelphia.

  63. trublu4ever says:

Yuckie! To make it worse…..gnats are winning 1 – 0…which should hold up against the pathetic Cubbies!

  64. I’m going back to my jigsaw puzzle – see you all tomorrow!

  65. nellyjune says:

Dumbass gnats are so f’in lucky! ……and have I mentioned their announcers suck too!

  66. nedisajerk says:

What make me sick is the Pirates took 2 of 3 from the Brewers at there place and the last 2 games Braun didn’t start.

  67. crash24now says:

Time for the Dodgers to pick up Youkilis, since they’re on the East Coast this week. We need another bat soon, otherwise it’s June Swoon!

  68. trublu4ever says:

Juan Rivera is activated…..Scotty was beamed down!
