Ah the good old days at Coors before the humidor. I fondly remember the Karros-Piazza era Dodgers hitting a ton of home runs at Coors but the past few years the balls don’t seem to fly out as they once did.

  2. trublu4ever says:

Hoping skinnyswag9 gets his ‘swag’ back tonight!

  3. trublu4ever says:

    Wow…Matty, already! YAY!

  4. trublu4ever says:

    Damn!

  5. vl4eccjr says:

    Typical!
Harang is cruising right along, gets his ERA under 5 for the first time in a while, then POOF!! Everything goes to shit in a hurry.

    • trublu4ever says:

It’s a typical ‘Coors’ kind of thing….no fear, we will come back 😉

      • vl4eccjr says:

I’m starting to think it’s a Harang type of thing. He shows little flashes of brilliance, then gets a brain cramp, then gives up multiple runs.
This is getting to be a habit with him. . .

  6. sparkleplenty1 says:

All right, James! Let’s keep this going, boys!

  7. vl4eccjr says:

    Uribe?
Signs of life. There’s still a pulse. . .Keep chipping!!

  8. trublu4ever says:

    Okay…a little closer.

  9. vl4eccjr says:

That may be curtains for Nicasio with his pitch count.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m not craving or needing Coffey tonight.

  10. vl4eccjr says:

    Sheeeit!

  11. sparkleplenty1 says:

    Blech! Poor pitching . . . .

  12. trublu4ever says:

Damn…we almost got out of that inning without any damage.

  13. sparkleplenty1 says:

What’s up with our fielding anyway? That was just not right.

  14. trublu4ever says:

Looks like we have a threesome going here 😉

  15. trublu4ever says:

    We sure are!

  16. sparkleplenty1 says:

Wow – a pinch hit single! Woo hoo!

  17. trublu4ever says:

    Rally time!

  18. sparkleplenty1 says:

I was hesitant to say something about a rally, but you two have beat me to it 🙂 Let’s make it unanimous – it’s rally time!!!

  19. 32and53fan says:

I guess 115 pitches was enough. Two on, nobody out. This is a good opportunity to get back in the game.

  20. sparkleplenty1 says:

C’mon Matt. Let’s do some business here! GO DODGERS!!

  21. trublu4ever says:

Dre is going to come through….I feel it.

  22. sparkleplenty1 says:

Why is Donnie boy batting Rivera? That is just ridiculous! He’s a rally killer.

  23. 32and53fan says:

Wow, Jim Tracy is really pulling the levers and pushing the buttons this inning. :-O

  24. vl4eccjr says:

    Unbefuckinglieveable!

  25. sparkleplenty1 says:

    Unacceptable!!

  26. 32and53fan says:

    Unpleasureable!!!

  27. trublu4ever says:

I suppose McDooDoo is in there to give the Rocks 3 or 4 more runs.

  28. vl4eccjr says:

Ruh roh! McShit is all over the place not finding the strike zone again.

  29. sparkleplenty1 says:

Whew – thank God for Ellis. That was a really good play.

  30. vl4eccjr says:

Pfffffffffft!!! Not good! The wheels are coming off the wagon here. . .

  31. trublu4ever says:

I think Nathan shuld have stayed & McPoo should have been sent away!

  32. vl4eccjr says:

Whew! Thanks to a great defensive play, Coffey whittled down his ERA to under 20. . .

  33. sparkleplenty1 says:

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again – the more I see of AJ Ellis, the better I like him.

  34. 32and53fan says:

Flash (in the pan) Gordon strikes (out) again!

  35. sparkleplenty1 says:

It’s getting to be a bad habit.

  36. trublu4ever says:

Okay…tomorrow will be a better day!

  37. sparkleplenty1 says:

If he doesn’t get on, his speed is wasted. He can’t, no matter how hard he tries, steal first base.

  38. vl4eccjr says:

Oh well! Not the best start for a road trip. I just hope Lilly & the guys play better tomorrow.
The Kings hammered the Blues in St. Lou!

  39. sparkleplenty1 says:

See you all later – off to watch DWTS!

  40. oldbrooklynfan says:

Just one of those bad nights.

  41. trublu4ever says:

Deal is done….McCourt is designated for assignment! YAY!!!!

  42. lbirken says:

The deal is done, the creditors have been made whole and Jamie’s been paid. Bud Selig can breath a sigh of relief but can kiss my *** for these comments:

“I want to personally thank all Dodger fans for their patience and loyalty during this trying period. I have said many times that we owed it to them to ensure that the club was being operated properly and would be guided appropriately in the future. It is my great hope and firm expectation that today’s change in ownership marks the start of a new era for the Los Angeles Dodgers and that this historic franchise will once again make the city of Los Angeles proud.”

Bud, you want my thanks? Resign now that this mess is behind us.

  43. lbirken says:

Actually, I am surprised the deal closed on time with no legal wranglings from the McCourts. Of course, there is still plenty of time for that with whatever deal Frank made with Guggenheim for the property. I don’t even feel much at all about the change in ownership since I don’t expect much change right away. I am hopeful Stan Kasten will energize the front office and finally put together some sort of plan to bring back the Dodger’s winning tradition. I am hopeful Magic Johnson will be more than a face and will have some role in accomplishing the same goal. But I was fooled once by a smooth talker from Boston so I will continue my cautious optomism about what is in store for the Dodgers.

  44. DodgerZona says:

Front Office Directory…….So nice not to see McCourts name there anymore

  45. vl4eccjr says:

Ding! Dong! You all know the rest. . . .

  46. vl4eccjr says:

    Holy crap!
    Dee hit a dinger!

  47. trublu4ever says:

    Holy Shit…Dee hit one out!

  48. trublu4ever says:

    LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  49. kahliforni says:

“…and the strange clause in the sale agreement requiring his (Magic) group not to disparage or even comment on McCourt or his family now or in the future.”

Too weird. Anyway, welcome to Magic and Co. Now that you’re here, please get a left fielder and 3rd baseman who can actually contribute offensively…though I admit, Uribe does contribute quite offensively…

  50. JhallWally says:

    Woo-Hoo, McCrook is gone!!!

Well at least from the baseball operations side of things.

Now it is time to show Fecolletti the door. Even thought I believe he will no longer have free rein on trades and deals as Kasten will have the final say on any transactions, He is incompetent and I still loathe the sight of him and want him gone.

And, what in the hell is Dildon thinking? Starting Kennedy. Geez!!

  51. trublu4ever says:

    AWESOME!!!!!

  52. vl4eccjr says:

    Woo hoo!
    Dre delivers!
I think the boys are inspired! I wonder why? . . LOL!

  53. trublu4ever says:

    Damn…Mark is on fire!

  54. JhallWally says:

    Rats!! Loney scalded that ball…

Catch you all tomorrow. Get us a win tonight. Go Dodgers!!

  55. vl4eccjr says:

    A.J. continues to shine!

  56. trublu4ever says:

Keep up the good work Ted.

  57. vl4eccjr says:

Pffffffft! ~ ~ Kennedy’s average at an even buck now. . Pathetic!

  58. trublu4ever says:

A.J. is the man! Way to go! So glad you are getting the chance to play!

    • vl4eccjr says:

It’s refreshing. He’s definitely making the most of it. How long has it been since the Dodgers had a catcher batting over .300 with an OBP as high as his?

  59. vl4eccjr says:

    WTG A.J.!!!

  60. vl4eccjr says:

Well we all knew Lilly would give up a dinger eventually. Just glad it didn’t hurt that bad with such a big lead.
But then again, no lead is safe at Coors. . .

  61. nedisajerk says:

That was Cargo 5th career HR’s off of Lilly no surprise.

  62. nedisajerk says:

Who’s Lyons partner? I forgot his name saying this would end the inning but it was only 2 outs.

  63. nedisajerk says:

That seem like a waste using Rivera should’ve had Seller PH instead.

  64. vl4eccjr says:

Ruh roh! Not a good time for Josh to have a bad one.

  65. vl4eccjr says:

Need more insurance runs. . .

  66. vl4eccjr says:

    Sheeeit! WTF?

  67. trublu4ever says:

    Damn….not good Matty!

  68. trublu4ever says:

Well, Donnie did a fine job of managing this game!

  69. trublu4ever says:

Poor Dre….a hit and, probably nobody to bring him home!

  70. trublu4ever says:

And, we have nobody on the bench with power!

  71. nedisajerk says:

That why Rivera should not had PH for Lilly. I knew that was probably going to bit us later.

  72. vl4eccjr says:

Well I sure hope Javy has exorcised his demons, and has his head on right again.

  73. trublu4ever says:

    Oh, God….please, not again!

  74. trublu4ever says:

    Crapola!

  75. trublu4ever says:

    Thank-you, Javy!

  76. vl4eccjr says:

Javy got bailed out by Ellis! A win is a win!

  77. nellyjune says:

THAT was too close for comfort! Whew!

  78. oldbrooklynfan says:

The Dodgers are finding many way to win games. I think that’s a good sign. The Rockies fought hard but we held our ground.

  79. koufax1963 says:

dig it! a WIN. I read the LA times report of frank sending a letter ihis staff. I think , “Frank why do you even show your face at chavez ravine?”
and I remember, “keep to your half of the parking lot frank!”

    • enchantedbeaver says:

I saw that. Wow, an email. They must feel special. The guy has at least a billion dollars in his pocket and he couldn’t even give them a McDonalds gift certificate for all the crap they had to put up with. Frank’s still quite the guy.

  80. trublu4ever says:

Watching the press conference covering our new owners. All I can say is “wow”! They are going to be awesome….A very happy day for this long suffering fan!

  81. 32and53fan says:

There is a new thread for a new era.
