Juan lucky night

Juan Uribe threw his bat out and connected with balls that somehow landed for hits. His 4 for 4 performance raised his batting average from .211 to .286 in one game.

Dodger Sleeved Blanket Night by Natural Balance PetFoods. If anyone saw the commercial for this, you might agree that it is just butt ugly. It is suitable for use only in a darkened room.

    Go Dodgers!

  2. vl4eccjr says:

If I remember right, the last time after Uribe had a big mulitiple hit game, he went back to stinking it up for a while going into a hitting drought. I’m hoping it doesn’t happen again.

  3. trublu4ever says:

Gnats & Rockies lost…so, we can spread out our lead with a win. Please, Harang, being a decent game!

  4. trublu4ever says:

    Wow….Rivera creamed that one!

  5. vl4eccjr says:

    WTG JUAN!

  6. nellyjune says:

    WOW!!!

  7. enchantedbeaver says:

I see Uribe is back to normal tonight.

    How is everyone?

  8. enchantedbeaver says:

So Guerrier came down with a sudden affliction and they called up Antonini? Was he already on the 40-man?

  9. vl4eccjr says:

Looked like Matt got back in time to me.

  10. trublu4ever says:

    Damn, Matty was safe!

  11. vl4eccjr says:

Shit! C’mon Harangutang! Don’t implode now!

  12. trublu4ever says:

Looks like Harang is going into melt-down mode!

  13. trublu4ever says:

    F*CK!

  14. vl4eccjr says:

Par for the course giving up a run on a wild pitch. What a P.O.S.!!

  15. trublu4ever says:

    YAY….a break!

  16. trublu4ever says:

And, now, Riivera goes out of game on injury!

  17. enchantedbeaver says:

Jeezus, when are we going to get someone better than Kennedy to PH? Its friggin rediculous.

  18. enchantedbeaver says:

1 for friggin 15 and he’s our primary PH?

  19. nedisajerk says:

I hate these 1st pitch ball from Jansen something is still wrong.

  20. enchantedbeaver says:

Am I alone in absolutely hating Chipper Jones? I’ve never been able to stand the guy.

    • vl4eccjr says:

Ditto! I never liked him either. He’s always had that ‘My shit don’t stink’ attitude.

    • trublu4ever says:

I don’t like him either. I used to wach him all the time when all the Braves’ games were on TBS. I always though he was over-rated and very injury prone….and, kind of a lousy personality to boot!

  21. trublu4ever says:

    Sheeit!

  22. vl4eccjr says:

DAMN! I thought Matt had that one!

  23. enchantedbeaver says:

    What are the odds…

  24. enchantedbeaver says:

    Uribe is absolutely pathetic.

  25. vl4eccjr says:

There’s the Uribum we all know. . .

  26. trublu4ever says:

Oh, well….no sweep….2 of 3 will have to do!

  27. vl4eccjr says:

Oh well! First home loss. Rubber game tomorrow.

  28. enchantedbeaver says:

Its these kinds of close games that you can really see what kind of team Ned’s put together – a total garbage bench. I’d rather see Kersh up there taking some hacks than Kennedy.

Kimbrel’s everything that Brox never was. Had Brox actually learned to pitch like that to go along with his 100 MPH FB, he’d have been unhittable.

  29. oldbrooklynfan says:

Tough loss. Harange’s 3rd quality start wasn’t enough. They simply beat us. The good news is the whole division lost and we’re still 3 1/2 up.

  30. koufax1963 says:

That was a game we should Have won. Get rid of the wild pitch. Kemp’s baserunning blunder(s), why even make it so close trying to get back to first on a flair to 2nd? Oh and the 9th inning triple would usually of been the 3rd out, he seemed like he was playing in the visitors park and not sure of the room he had. But hey to play a good team that close is a confidence builder that this dodger team can hang with the top echelon teams. I will assume gwynn in left with loney back at first tonight vs a tough beachy, well we took one, coulda been 2, still might be, but that might take having hairston play 3rd,as long as we are flipping people.

  31. kahliforni says:

I think Kemp is trying TOO hard on the bases (three dumb plays in 24 hours) because he knows the offense, besides Either, is a garbage dump. Hopefully, with new ownership in place, we won’t even recognize the roster come August 1. And I wouldn’t be surprised to see Stan Kasten take the role of interim GM, either.

    Juan Unlucky Night

Last night, Juan Rivera ripped his left hamstring (ouch!). He’s not yet on the DL, but look for Scott Van Slyke to be coming up soon.

  33. lbirken says:

Kahli, do you really think new ownership will shake things up that fast? If things go as they usually do, the roster will be re-worked no matter who is in charge. But we will just have to wait and see.

    • kahliforni says:

I do think there will be a fast shake up. New ownership isn’t blind to the fact that there’s a real window of opportunity here…crummy division, fast start, Kemp staring at a monster season. If there’s no help on the way, who’s going to pitch to Kemp in the future? Might as well give him first base immediately, like in slo-pitch softball. A left fielder, a third baseman, a real #2 starting pitcher, and a real pinch hitter are the wish list. It’s a load, I know. The Dodgers may have to gut the minor leagues, but hey, that’s what contenders do. It’s not like they have any major leaguers anybody wants. And like I intimated, I’m not sure anyone in new ownership trusts Ned with the car keys.

  34. trublu4ever says:

There will be no Juans tonight….Hairston at 3rd.

  35. trublu4ever says:

It nice to see the Gnats bullpen implode for a change…the game isn’t over yet but, they just gave up 4 runs and are beating the hated ones 4 – 2.

  36. trublu4ever says:

I also just heard, Nathan was pulled from his game….may be joining the big boys…if so, who goes? I don’t think Rivera’s injured hammie is very severe….more of a day to day thing not the DL.
