  1. I wonder what that final G’Nats series will be like. Will there be a crowd or will it be the end of a miserable season with a few upsides.?

Hopefully Kersh gets his 20th win and maybe just maybe, he goes one more for 21 and wins that Cy Young outright. He deserves it.

    🙂

  2. Tuesday September 20th, and Sunday September 25th..

    Kershaw for Cy!!

    #20 && #21 for Kersh

    2-0 19K’s 0.83ERA

    You heard it here first!!!

Just hoping the so-so Lilly (not the bombs-away guy) shows up tonight and we defeat McDonald and the Pirates. Come on guys….let’s reach .500!

    • 32and53fan says:

The so-so Lilly should beat the so-so McDonald… if you go by stats.

    • Actually, it would tickle me if McDonald got the win.

Hey Ned, where are all those guys we got for McDonald and Lambo?

      • JhallWally says:

Yeah, another Nedcompoop blunder. Threw away a serviceable #4, 5 starter for Octavio Dotel.

Hey Beav, when are you going to do your piece showing how Ned has wasted more money than Frank and Jamie have siphoned off the Dodger bank account? I’m looking forward to it.

        • 32and53fan says:

Scheduling it for the days I will be gone would work out nicely. From next Thursday to Saturday.

        • Actually, the harder piece to come-up with would be Ned’s best deals. By far and away, it would be Dre, but what after that? Can’t really count Manny, he was gift wrapped.

          #1 Andre
          #2 Nomar I
          #3 Lofton
          #4 Saito
          #5 Kuroda
          #6 Furcal I

To come up with 10 I think you’d have to include Carroll & Miles, and I just don’t want to go there. Who am I missing? Anyone?

          • trublu4ever says:

Pretty sad when there aren’t even 10. I forgot, how many years has Ned been GM? Regardless, it’s a pretty pathetic resume, isn’t it?

  4. JhallWally says:

Even with hot streak, Loney still sucks. 22nd out of 24 qualified 1B.

And Ethier isn’t much better. 18th out of 24 RFs.

    http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=rf&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=1&season=2011&month=0&season1=2011&ind=0

At least Andre can cry injury. Oh wait, he did.

Assuming that they bring back Loney, these two are gonna need to step it up a few notches for the Dodgers to be a legitimate contender in 2012.

    • JhallWally says:

Last year Loney was also 22nd out of 24.

Ethier was 7th out of 24.

There is a good likelihood that a healthy Ethier will improve and produce next year.

The odds of Loney being a league average or better than average 1B are not good.

And like I stated before, to be a legitimate contender, we need above average production from these two players at traditionally offensive positions.

  5. JhallWally says:

    Dodgers lineup:

    Gordon 6,
    Sellers 4,
    Kemp 8,
    Rivera 7,
    Loney 3,
    Miles 5,
    Sands 9,
    Fedorowicz 2,
    Lilly 1.

  6. trublu4ever says:

    They are interviewing Fed-Ex….he’s a cutie…hope he can hit & catch 😉

    • Nellyjune says:

      He is a cutie!!!……but, but….when I think FedEx, I think Denny – lol!!!!
      .
Speaking of NASCAR….. Dodgereric – JJ was so much fun to watch this morning before his qualifying run. It was his 36th birthday today, and the other drivers were having so much fun with him at his expense. However, he was just as fun!!!

  7. trublu4ever says:

I read were Beav would like to see McDonald win…..with Lilly on the mound, I really think he hs good shot at getting his wish. I, on the otherhand, even though I like him, I want us to win so maybe, just maybe, we can hit .500.

  8. trublu4ever says:

    Gordon was safe!

  9. trublu4ever says:

    Loney is on fire!

  10. Nellyjune says:

WAY TO JAMES ANTHONY LONEY!!! Maybe he is listening to his critics 🙂

  11. trublu4ever says:

WTF, Ted….I guess you don’t like having a fu*king lead!

  12. nedisajerk says:

Everytime we scored big we always seem to give up a run back. I don’t like the back to back walks. I really hope Lilly wasn’t squeeze to start the inning off.

  13. If Lilly was THE #5 guy in our rotation, he’d be easier to take. But we’ve got a #1, a #4, 2 #5s, and a whatever. The thing is though, you don’t pay a #5 guy $12.5M in 2012 and $13.5M in 2013. Ned backloads all these freaking loser contracts so that he’s impossible to unload under any circumstances. (1) He’s old, (2) He’s vastly overpaid, and (3) He sucks. Another fine Ned acquisition based upon 5-6 good starts last year after they picked him up.

  14. And he can’t bunt either!

  15. vl4eccjr says:

Neither pitcher looks very good so far.

  16. nedisajerk says:

Dang the Giants always seem to need there opponent to make a bad play for them to capitalize.

  17. trublu4ever says:

    Juan!

  18. trublu4ever says:

    Shit….Gnats won….Dbacks lost again!

  19. Me thinks JMac is trying too hard.

  20. Nellyjune says:

    Way to go Dodgers!!!!

  21. Nellyjune says:

As for the Dbacks losing again, they haven’t won a game since they caused issues for our pitchers. Karma is biting them in the ass big time, and the gnats are benefiting from it. Sucks to be a Dodger fan these days – lol!!!

    • trublu4ever says:

In a way, although I hate the Giants, I’m glad the Diamondbacks are in a bit of trouble…serves them right! Very disappointed in the character of their team.

    • lbirken says:

As well as a UCLA fan! I still love my Dodgers and Bruins but it has been tough.

      • vl4eccjr says:

I caught some of that game. Seemed to be alot of ‘burnt orange’ in the Rose Bowl seats.

        • lbirken says:

I was at the game and there were a lot of Texas fans but it was expected. Texas is one of those teams that “travels” well. The Longhorns pretty much manhandled my Bruins.

          • vl4eccjr says:

Just goes to show there’s alot of transplanted ‘Shitkickers’ there. I may currently reside here in Texas, but it doesn’t mean I have to root for their teams. I don’t care for any of them, with the exception of rooting for the Mavs over the Heat in the NBA finals.

          • My mom and sister live in Texas.

          • vl4eccjr says:

Sorry Beav. Nothing personal. It’s just being born, raised & growing up in the the “Land of Radioactivty” aka south central New Mexico has just warped me, or maybe my teacher’s mantra; “As long as God is in heaven, and Armijo is on earth, Texas will never get New Mexico!” has something to do with it too.

        • Nellyjune says:

I would imagine being a Raiders fan living in Texas has got to have it’s moments – lol!!!

          • trublu4ever says:

The Black Hole of Texas 😉

          • vl4eccjr says:

Oh yeah! 99% of the folks here are Cowboy fans, but I have met a few Raider fans here. I’ve even encountered Raider fans in Denver & Kansas City. We all know there’s a bunch in San Diego.
Everyone who knows me on this blog knows my two favorite NFL teams are. The Raiders & whoever plays the Cowboys that day! The Yankees & SF Giants are the other teams on my ‘Love to Hate’ list. 🙂

          • Nellyjune says:

Being a Redskins fan, I’m with you on the Cowboys thinking. I never pick them, regardless of who they play. And I think the only time I would pick the Raiders is if they were playing the Cowboys. I’m not a big Whiners (49ers) fan either.

  22. trublu4ever says:

J-E-R-R-Y is a pretty good hitter. Too bad Donnie had to fool around with Gibbons and Thames. Sands could have filled in at first for James also, if needed.

  23. trublu4ever says:

    Wow….7 Ks for Lilly!

  24. trublu4ever says:

    Woo-hoo….Jerry, another hit!

  25. nedisajerk says:

Wow this is the 4th games in a row that Lilly haven’t given up a homerun.

  26. trublu4ever says:

    Come on Nate…be great!

  27. nedisajerk says:

Gosh I hate leaving runner on 3rd with 1 out.

  28. vl4eccjr says:

Sometimes I wonder with Nolan Ryan & Nate being from the same home town if there’s something in the water there that fuels the flame throwing. . .

  29. trublu4ever says:

    32,514 paid attendance.

    • trublu4ever says:

Tomorrow should be a packed house…Fan Appreciation Day.

      • Nellyjune says:

Wouldn’t be kind of hypocritical if you haven’t gone to a game all season, for whatever reason, but showed up to for appreciation day? Then again, we’ve been pretty loyal fans to the team itself, considering what our scumbag owner has put his players through.

  30. vl4eccjr says:

    Whew!
    K-J bails out Nate!

  31. trublu4ever says:

I think it’s kind of cool that we are probably going to decide whether the gnats or dbacks make the playoffs. Playing the gnats next and finishing up with the dbacks. Should be fun!

  32. trublu4ever says:

I hope a 5 run lead is enough for McDooDoo.

  33. trublu4ever says:

Yay… a win. Looks like a good score but, as Vinny pointed out….way too many runners left on once again. We should have had at least 10 runs. However, we can save the hitting and runs when the gnats come to town.

  34. Nellyjune says:

    Yeah!!!! Win Streak!!! 🙂
