Sorry this isn’t fancy….however, GO DODGERS!
Here’s our lineup:
Gordon
Puig
Ramirez (DH)
Gonzalez
Kemp
Ethier
Uribe
Ellis
Rojas
Ryu will take the mound.
It should be a good game.
GO DODGERS!!!!
Wow…2 runs for us already!
AGON didn’t waste any time getting two more RBI.
A-Gon with the big double!
Kemp follows with another RBI!
KEMP makes it 3-0. for a nice quick start.
Love those crooked numbers in our first inning!
YES!!
Wow!
URIBE! You bet!
Uribe really hit that one. 5-0
Very nice! Good start to this game. I will admit that Verlander hasn’t been himself lately, but still, it’s great to strike first; hopefully, we’ll strike often.
I don’t like the way Ryu looks.5-1
Ryu doesn’t look like he has anything. I don’t think this lead will last long.
Ryu really looks bad. 5-3.
Batting Practice.
The umpire isn’t helping him either. He won’t give him the corner strikes!
oh geez
Does any one think Ryu will get any better tonight? 5-5.
A terrible night for Ryu. Now with the score 6-5 Tigers, I hope Wright can change the momentum.
rojas applies the tag properly on hunter and the 2nd inning is different. this may be the worse game, and lets hope it wont be repeated, the blue boys have played
Just another one of those nights.
Kemp is now batting .275.
Here’s hoping Greinke does a lot better than Ryu did tonight and GO A’S
Now that was an ugly game. Hopefully playing in daylight will help.
Thankfully Oakland beat the gnats so we get to keep our one game lead. The Great Dodger in the Sky smiled on us, even when we didn’t deserve it.
Didn’t figure Ryu would beat Verlander, just didn’t think it would be that ugly. To me there’s no doubt this team needs another frontline starter.
There’s still nothing about this team that says champion to me – too many holes – bully, bench, fielding, hitting. They’re going to have to vastly tighten everything up before anyone looks to buy WS tickets. They’re too Jeckel and Hyde to get much accomplished.
Wow.. Total ineptness…. Ryu is running out of gas… Either really sucked…..
Well last night we saw that we win some, we lose some and sometimes we get our ass kicked and here we go again today.
This game isn’t starting much better.
My feed was having difficulty loading yesterday…so, I missed the first half of the game. I did see the first inning though. With the bats we have in our lineup, you’d think they would instill a bit of fear into an opposing pitcher. How can you score 5 runs off a guy then go flat for the next 8 innings…
8 innings and counting… they don’t look all that sharp this afternoon either.
The Dodgers are seeing why AL teams are having a hard time beating the Tigers.
Or it could be showing that this team just can’t compete against an elite team.
No pitch one day, no hit the next. These guys just aren’t that good. They can get away with it against the likes of Colorado, but not good teams and certainly not against an elite team. They’ll be lucky to split with the Angels when they play, and they’re going to have a real hard time against the Nats and Braves. Hell, they couldn’t even beat Cleveland.
You could be right, at least the Dodgers aren’t showing otherwise.
To compete with the elite teams, we need to tighten up the defense and tighten up the bullpen.
Hanley, AGon and Kemp…
.
Where’s The Beef
Beef-less burger today. Veggie special.
oh-fer eleven
Nice going MIGGY.
Tough when the Dodgers get a leadoff double and leave him at third.
Only way this team can compete against anything more than an average pitcher is to hope the starter can at least put up enough zeros to keep them even for awhile. Been that way all year. Until they can start playing sound fundamental baseball – moving runners over, not doing stupid things on the base paths, consistently getting runner in from third when there are less than two outs, not giving away outs both on offense and defense – they can’t and won’t go anywhere. And this current group isn’t capable of ever playing smart, fundamental baseball from what I’ve seen. That’s on Ned for not knowing how to build a team in the first place, and on Donnie for letting major leaguers get away with all the sloppiness he does.
Pretty sad too when you have a $240M team and you have to depend on Rojas to provide you with your only run.
It is pathetic and UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We both know and have known for years that Nedcompoop and Dildon need to be shown the door….. We will not win a WS with them…..
Not that I could do any better but it is hard to watch major league hitters swing at pitches out of the strike zone, even when they know that pitch is coming. Yes, not much good will happen when the only run comes off the bat of someone not expected to do much with the bat. For whatever reason, this Dodger team does typically does not come back from deficits but usually wins when it gets a lead early (last night an exception) And the Dodgers don’t make things any easier by making so many outs on the base paths. Clearly Tiger hitters took what was given to them while Dodger hitters could not make the necessary adjustments. Hopefully the Dodgers will bounce back against the Padres.
The good news is we won’t have to face the Tigers for the rest of the regular season.
Nice 0 for 14 performance by the heart of the order. This line-up might be a lion on paper, but its nothing but a slimy slug against good or better pitching. This team’s embarrassing against an elite, and I might add, real contender. Every weakness this team has, has been exploited by the Tigers and will continue to be by any team with a winning record. Keep in mind that pretty much through all of June the Dodgers played 62% of its games against .500 teams or under, and it still struggled. You just cant play this way against winning teams and expect to hold your own.
Well said.
This team seems to lack a spark. They score 5 runs in first inning yesterday…are caught an inning later…and score a total of one run over the next 17 innings. They are the perfect mirror image of their manager. The Dodgers, as we all know, haven’t won a championship in 26 years. Donnie never has.
Touchee’ Kahli…. This team will not win anything significant with Nedcompoop and Didon at the helm…
After a long and difficult trial, the Stowe case against the Dodgers has reached a verdict. Teflon Frank McCourt was let off the hook, which does not surprise me. The Dodgers as a business (or more likely the insurance company) was found 25% responsible.
Not sure how the jury decided the amounts to award but I can understand how the jury had trouble deciding responsibility. Clearly the Dodgers did not have adequate security but the victim had some responsibility even though the jury said no. I am not convinced any amount of security could have avoided the confrontation in the parking lot. The two culprits are in prison and will certainly not provide any monetary damages. So it is unlikely Stow will collect on the award and I am not sure if the award included attorney fees. All in all a black eye in Dodger Stadium history.
It’s hard for me to say, whether I agree or not with the verdict but I’m glad that it’s over and Stowe was rewarded with something. Good luck to him.
According to what I read today, the Dodgers are on the hook for about $13 million.
Where’s the
Beef.
A-Gon has struck-out 66 times to date.
Kemp has struck-out 81 times to date
Puig has struck-out 72 times to date.
.
In the past, when the above mentioned players are dialed in… They make contact.
A.J. Ellis is homer-less in his first 100 at bats this season.
.
Where’s the
BeefEthier has a paltry 4 home-runs to date. Same as Crawford, except with 100 more at bats.
.
Where’s the
BeefThe team has a home record of 22-23. After starting off July, by failing to win the first series on they’re home-turf.
.
Where’s the
BeefHas anyone hit a walk-off home-run this season…
.
Has anyone hit back-to-back home-runs this season…
.
How about multiple home-run games… Can anyone top Uribe’s 3 from last season….
.
Where’s the
BeefHow come out of the crop of center-fielders we have, none even came close to being named to the All-Star team…
.
Where’s the
BeefDo not think that Kershaw pitching today means a W. The guy for the padres has a .92 ERA, a small sample size for this cuban pitcher as he just started in the Majors for 3 games two vs a pathetic gnats team. I wonder if Yasiel played with or vs. him?
